Best wax for light colored cars???

I've a followup question,

I currently have a white protege5, I use Werkstatt prime/AJ/AJT on it..., i'm pleased.

HOWEVER,

Do you folks know of any waxes/sealants that can be easily seen when applying to white paint, making it easier to see complete coverage/wiping off?

Darker colors make it a cinch to see where you've waxed/buffed..., not so much on white paint. Makes it tricky for the 'wait till it hazes up, then buff off' step.

Course...white hides any swirls pretty well...mixed bag i suppose.

If its a light colored metallic 3M Perfect-It Show Car Paste is good.

Seems like 3M doesn't get a lot of respect here, but this is a flake popper on light colors.

There has been some talk about Pre-Voc and New 3m Perfect-It and I'm not real sure how different they are. :nixweiss

I have a white pearl color on my 350z.

I just ordered Poorboys products, plus i got 20% off

Wash, clay, wash, SSR1, EX-P sealant then to finish it off the Natty's Paste

Wax...

I am excited! Plus im getting some new parts installed! what a month!

Gears- I've only used the older version of the 3M, and I do like it. It seems to be high in silicones (not a problem IMO); the newer version does not, IIRC, list the same silicone compound on the label.

Ok, now its getting more confusing. My can of 3M does not list silicone. I looked on the 3M MSDS site and found two MSDS lists for this wax.

2001 My can is listed here by UPC # and it shows Silicone Acrylate Copolymer 1 - 5 %

2008 MSDS shows Siloxanes and Silicones Di-Me 7 - 13%

Not sure what any of this means ,but I like my 3M Perfect-It wax.

after trying liquid souveran and clearkote carnauba wax on silver metallic i think a sealant brings out the flakes better on lighter paint. much more reflective than the warm glow of wax. slicker too. my go to right now is dwg. awesome wowo and to me makes the metallic flakes shimmer in the sunlight.

Mine says it contains Acrylic Silicone Fluoroplymer. My can's PN is 39526, dunno for sure when I bought it  I think it was around 2001 but IIRC I got it right before they changed the formula.

ricka- Yeah, the best "flake effect" I get is on the S8, which has UPP on it.

Yesterday, I Poli-Sealed a light gold/beige car, and topped it with Collinite 845. Turned out very well. With the PS/845 combo, or Meguiar's 16, or Wolfgang Sealant, or Z2Pro, you really can't go wrong on a light colored car.
