Best Wax For Blue Metalic Paint

Hi,

Seems to me that certain wax brands are better from darker or lighter colour cars.

Is this correct ?

What brand / type of wax is proven to work well for a dark blue Metalic paint ?

I was thinking of using P21S.

Thanks

P21S, Poorboy's EX, Poorboy's Natty's, Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax, Meg's #16....... Theres probably many more that will also look very good on that colour :).

Poorboys EX topped with Nattys, P21s or Carnuba Moose wax for me.

Many thanks

so are some waxs best for certain colour cars ? If so what makes them better for a red car than say a blue car ?

Waxes aren't exact color specific, but some look better on dark colors, some on light colors, and some make metalics look better. It also depends on what look you're going for, do you want a highly reflective or wet look?

In addition to the above some waxes take on a clear look wet of the paint or products below P21s, Nattys. Others deepen the colour, Souveran, CMW or # 26.

In doing this some may give a relective look, others a deep or wet look. Others may give a glossy salad oil look.

Reflective or clear looking waxes are good on light colours and metallics. Deepening waxes on dark colours, dark mettalllics, blacks and reds.

Thanks Frank,

I currently use NXT followed by AG EGP (autoglym extra gloss). Get good results.

Looking for the next level of performance and am considering going for.....

AIO + NXT + P21S. (I may drop the NXT.....)

Cheers

Not heard much about Platinum Ultimate Paint Protection (UPP). Need to look into that.

Who makes it ?

Perm, if you like the UPP look (great product) then try Mothers new Reflections and Top Coat. It has a deeper look than most synthetics yet makes metallic flake stand out.

What do you want to achieve with the color? Reflectivity, depth or metallic flake?

If depth is what you want, use a synthetic blend topped with a carnauba. If metallic flake is what you want, tropicare Tc-3 or the mother reflections duo will be tough to beat.

So if you had sitting on your shelf after prepping your car with PB SSR, polish w/nuba, EX sealant ... which wax would you reach for to finish off with - Natty's, P21S or CK carnuba moose wax for the wettest look on metallic blue that would make the flakes pop?

Being all PB I'm thinking of sticking with Natty's? CK quik shine seems to bring out the metallic sparkle so I'll be using that as a QD. I have a car show this coming Sunday - I want to POP!

My car looked like this at a recent show after using SSR, p/c and EX, no wax on top - QS as a detailer.

Think P21S or Natty's will improve it - I have both, or will CK carnuba moose wax offer a wetter shine?
