Best Waffle Weave drying towel?

I agree......can't have enough MF towels!

Give the SONUS Der Wunder Drying Towel a try. I used mine a couple of times so far and they have been great. I like the smaller size (24X30) and they absorb the water quickly. IMO, they seem to absorb slightly better than the original Big Blue's. I should add that I've got three CMA Big Blue's and one PakShak drying towel and I love them all, but the SONUS is different because the edges are hemmed with a silky fabric and it's a 70/30 blend instead of 80/20.

I've used a cwb until recently with no problems but I've started rinsing with a gentle stream of water so that most of it sheets off. Then I can dry the remainder of the water from both cars with one ww.

Well, I use a leaf blower on most of my cars :o

But on spot drying, the WW excels as well, as good or better than the absorber I have and it is easier to use.

HOWEVER.

I use Pakshak's big blue waffle weave to fully dry my daily driver Mazda 3.....with Eagle One Wax as you dry.

KICK *** let me tell you. With WAUD the car is drenched with water still, and sprayed. That towel takes up ALL the water for the whole car, without even wringing it out. And leaves a great shine.

I usually only have to give the car a quick once over with another pakshak towel when finished just to get a couple of drops.

Kudos Pakshak! A1 stuff.

Big Blue by far!

I still don't know where all the damn water goes! I think that it must be the same place that all my socks go after I put them in the dryer! ;)

Has anyone tried microfibers from Target? They are called Baja Sol and it comes in a package of 5 microfibers (blue and white ones) for $5.99. They claim to have a 70/30 blend. I was thinking of giving them a try since it's only $6 bux but want to know what you guys think.

I have Pak Shaks and many others, big blue is nice but not as soft as it could be, sure does hold a lot of water though. I just made and order with tom at JT International for a huge light purple WW and I have to say its a great bargain and a very soft towel. I liken it to the older grey ww towels I used to get, they were the softest. Tom Sells on Ebay or through [email protected]

My latest Pak Shaks seem hard by comparison ( the light blue/Dark blue edged ones) They cant compare to the big blue or the new purple (YMMV) for absorbancy or softeness.

I have waffle weaves from Patrick and Ian. Both are good towels.

Patrick's seem to hold water better/more, and absorb quicker, but Ian's are softer and are easier to work with.

If you are going to use them for drying and you want to buy locally, you are better off getting the big terry weave one at Wal-Mart for just under $7. It really is a pretty decent towel, definitely better than the Baja Sol ones at Target, IMHO.

I use them around the house but not on my vehicles. I'd be *very* careful about what you touch your paint with. Marring means paint lost forever....
