I want to get a really good shine out of my car. The color is Thunder Grey. Its a dark metallic grey color. What products would you recommend to give it a great shine?

Thanks.

A popular product at the moment seems to be the 'CK VM Hand Glaze' for getting a great shine. Top that with your favourite wax and you'll need you're sunglasses on when you look at your car! :)

I have a 2003 Honda Accord with the Graphite Pearl (a fairly dark metallic grey). I have had the car for only 6 months and plan to experiment with several products until I find the "look" that does it for me. I tried Poorboys EX on it first and was pleased with it. Next I tried AIOx1 and SGx3 on it for the winter. A month later I added S100 and definitely liked this combo. As soon as it warms up I am going with S100 SEC and S100 wax.

My gut feeling is that I will end up using the AIO, SG, S100 combo and continue topping with S100 about once a month. I love all 3 of these products for looks, ease of use, price, and durability.

I really like this color. It has enough color to give it some pop but does not show dirt and tiny imperfections quite as quickly as black and red. Another words I can clean up my car and it will actually still look great to me after a couple of days. With black I was never satisfied after driving for more than a few miles.

That's the reason I went with the color of my car. Black is my favorite but I dont want to be washing it every few days to keep it looking good. I wanted a dark color and this was what I found and I really like it. I think I will try VM hand glaze once I can order some.

My Mazda6 is dark grey and I've had good luck so far with 1Z PP and Glanz Wax. Here are a couple pics after a wash, clay, PP, Glanz.

I like how a good carnauba looks on metallics. I'd try Natty Wax, S100 or Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax. The prior two are paste waxes and may look better.
