Best product to apply by hand

The Klasse AIO is not good to apply by hand and that it does not hide swirl marks?

AIO works fine by hand but doesn't do much hiding at all. I'd choose Autoglym Super Resin Polish if you want concealing from an all-in-one product, but again, I'd just use a 1Z polish instead.

Is using Pinnacle cleansing lotion, Klasse AIO and then the Souveran carnauba wax good to apply by hand?

Those all work fine by hand.

What is a good quick detailer and clay to use? Is clay only for taking out things that are on the paint that is not clean in the wash? Is it okay to clay the car everytime apart from the time that it takes? Thanks.

I use Sonus green (ultra fine) clay with the Glyde lube. For a QD there are countless choices...I probably use FK425 the most. You can clay as often as necessary but overdoing it (or doing it aggressively) will remove LSP as well as contamination.

For choosing on using a polish or a sealant, is a polish good at removing the swirl marks however it makes the clearcoat thinner? And the sealant only hides the swirl marks by turning it more round and does not make the clearcoat thinner? Thanks.

Yeah, polishes abrade away clearcoat and thus level it (that's how the swirls get removed, everything is broght down to the level of the "bottom" of the swirl).



Sealants are basically synthetic waxes. They usually don't do any correction and they usually don't do much hiding either.

AutoGeek sells 1Z brand polishes. These are the only products I'd recommend for use by hand. They work and are very user-friendly.



Top the 1Z polish with the wax of our choice and you'll be doing as much as you can without a machine.

At Accumulator's suggestion I went with the 1Z Metallic Polish Wax and I'm very pleased. I played around with it on my dads Miata (99 with no previous TLC) and it removed quite a bit of the lighter swirling. Granted I'll need something a lot more aggressive (and probably a machine) to correct or help the years of neglect, but it still did a good job just in that situation.

All in One is a cleaner, with a little polish and a tiny touch of sealant. It's made for use under Kasse Sealant Glaze and that's how I use it. But I'd only use a sealant on a vehicle that you can get and keep perfect. Sealants show too many imperfections for most vehicles IMO. Waxes don't show as many imperfections. I don't use Klasse AIO under waxes. If I want to do something like that I use Autoglym Super Resin Polish instead of the AIO.

LSP= Last Step Product...the wax or sealant that's on the paint.

IMO you'll need an abrasive polish before the Pinnacle PCL. The PCL does clean well but it won't fix any swirls/etc. Then I'd just apply the Souveran after the PCL, with nothing in between. See how you like that.



Yeah, you can just add more Souveran every few weeks for a while, but eventually you should clean the paint with the Sonus green Ultra-fine clay. After a few months of doing this you might need to clean everything off with the PCL and start over again.



Souveran doesn't last long, and I find that it leaves "dead wax" on the paint...sooner or later you need to clean that off.



Noting that I use Souveran on one of my cars, and that I do like their PCL....I'd still recommend that you use 1Z Paint Polish topped with Collinite wax instead. I really do think you'd get better results. OK, OK, I'll quit harping about the 1Z/Collinite stuff...sorry.



The PCL/Souveran combo is great for garage queens that don't have any swirls, but it's sure not the way I'd go with a daily driver (although I *did* use that combo on a number of daily drivers and I don't like being a hypocrite ).

For the glaze, is it Menzerna final touch glaze? The website says that it does not contain filler and no cut for it. How does it hide the swirl marks? Is using this temporary before the car is polish and the swirl marks are removed by smoothing the clearcoat? Thanks.

jlau- Can't help with that as I have no experience with FTG. I'd try keeping this simple- wash, clay, polish, wax. Working by hand, that will be enough work!

Zaino products are pretty much fine to apply by hand.
