hey guys, I'm looking for a place to buy about 10 mf's.. I've gotten sone from autogeek before, but they seem to be a bit more on the expensive side...

i saw pakshak is having a sale on them, so i might as well try them, since alot of members seem to like them.

well anyway, here is the link to their page, I have no idea which to choose.

I'll be removing dodo juice paste wax with them and wiping down jambs..

any recomendations?

We would like to thank our customers for their patronage over the years. We would like to offer a special sale on our highly regarded Micropak micro fiber products. Thank you & Aloha! PakShak "Ohana" (Family)

k, thanks! alot of ordering to do tonight!

The white edgeless mf is great for reomoving waxes:

MICROPAK Ultra-Edgeless Micro Fiber Towel - "The Perfect Polishing Towel"

Uses:

1. Built for wiping away polish and compound residue.

2. Soft touch that is extra gentle on sensitive clear coat finishes.

3. Dense loops give the towel an uneven texture that is excellent at buffing off waxes and paint sealants.

4. For wax removal, the Micropak Ultra-Edgeless Micro Fiber Towel is the reigning "Big Kahuna". Its looped texture cleans without caking and leaves the surface completely free of residue.

5. The edge of the Micropak Ultra-Edgless Micro Fiber Towel is not he

....if possible, I would buy sample qty's of the towels you're interested in first before committing to a large order. IMO/IME, quality and characteristics can change even between batches of the same towels. I have several examples in my MF drawers right now. Having said that, I purchased a few towels from PakShak to try out and I'm pretty satisfied. I'll likely be placing a larger order from them soon.

Is there an Autopian code on orders at Pakshak or do their sales' prices reflect the discount?

Not sure how/why Ranney does it, but when you "check out" the S/H shown is not what he charges you. Actually charges are less than what show at check out. Also, he throws in a sample of a towel and I'm sure you could specify which one you might like a sample of. I've got about 70 of his MFs and really prefer them to others. His super soft drying towels are very nice as well. Seems that any time the subject of best/where to buy MF towels comes up, Pak Shak is favored by the majority.

He's great to deal with and provides super customer support.

+1 on the white edgeless towels.

You guys....I'm gonna have to try those edgeless white ones, huh?

Noting that I'm a big fan of PakShak and that most of my MFs did come from them, a lot of these things are the same from one vendor to the next (maybe different colors or somehing like that), and I also like to steer business towards fellow Autopian Patrick at West Coast Detail Supply Home

One more option for buffing off LSP residue is the no-nap/suede-style MFs at Top of the Line Auto Detailing Supplies . Irene and the folks at TOL are great to do business with too, though they don't offer the "autopia discount".

Oh, and Winner's Circle (sorry, no link handy) has some nice looking, very plush MFs on sale for just $2 each.
