Best option for touching up rock chip

I'm wating to repair a smaller rock chip, and it's probably going to need to be touchedup. What is the best option for getting a touchup to use that is a good match? The ones the dealer sells from previous experince suck and do not match. I was looking at using the Langka kit too, but apparently they don't offer the touchup for the kit. Is there anywhere online that sells a really good product that actually matches correctly?

in my exprerience dealer touchup paints match really well but then i've never owned a mettalic colored car (just dont like them) which a lil bit trickier to match.

Langka? this stuff works great!!! I used it on one of my customer's car, I had to apply the touch up twice to have a blob and langka is great removing it.

Agreed, Langka is ta decent way to go for chip repair. I use it for some of my customers looking for an improvement. Usually I am asked about how it will look 100% perfect aftwards? My answer is no, because if you know where the repair was done you can see it. Langka is meant to be a cheaper alternative to a repaint. Again, it does work very well (looks 80-90% better), but a picky customer must be told that the only way to achieve perfection is a repaint.

I get a lot of touch-up paint from these guys:

PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (rs), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint

Not everything I've gotten from them is a perfect match but it's a closer percentage than what I've gotten elsewhere unless I have a paint shop actually mix something up.

I'm not a big fan of Langka but that could be because of user error on my part. I actually prefer to do a wet-sand and buff with better results, but that can be tricky for a novice. Below is a thread that will give you some tips:

Another system that has gotten a lot of good reviews is the Dr. ColorChip system:

You might want to research each method and decide what will work best for you and what you feel more comfortable using.

I just did some rock chips touchups on my metallic black yesterday and the results were amazing. I purchased the factory touch up paint from BMW, lightly sanding the chips edge with 2000 grit sandpaper. Did several chip fills with the end of a toothpick that was dipped in the paint. Once the chip was slightly bubbled above the surrounding areas then I lightly wet sanded the bubble level with the surrounding area, and then hand polished the area to remove any scratches and the chips were about 80% perfect. I plan to do one more layer of paint and then sanding to make it perfect but for the first try I was floored with how easy and how good it looks. The defects are only visible now when you look at a hard angle from the side, then you can see the small recession where it needs a tiny bit more paint. Looking at it from above even with a powerful flashlight you cannot (and I am really stingy on what looks good) see where the chips were. When I showed my wife she couldn't see the remaining marks that I could see at an angle even when I pointed them out to here. Anyhow, the thought of using sandpaper is a little scary and seeing the scuff marks is even more so, until you polish and then see the great results.
