Best one step process

I posted this here because I only have PB's products on my shelf. I am sure that each detail is going to be a little different from one another ie - how bad are swirls, oxidation. But here is the deal

I did a black Pacifica a few weeks ago and knew I was not going to do a 2 step process ie SSR 2.5 and 1. I was only being paid to freshen up the paint. When I got on site to do the job, I decided to use Pro Polish and a polishing pad on a PC. The PP and polishing pad did a great job at cleaning the paint and removing a few swirls (but there were a lot of swirls untouched)

My question - Using a PC

Could I have used another combo that would of worked better on the swirl removing and also cleaning the paint than what I did?

I know the color of the car will be a big deciding factor if I come across another detail like this - but on a black (dark) colored vehicle - what would you guys use?
 
The more I play with PP, the more I like it.

It is very pad dependant. I'm going to try it next spring with an orange pad and see what it does.
 
IF you were limited to one step due to price and time, then PwC blue would have been my choice. It will clean the paint, remove and hide some swirls, and leave protection in one step ... if you had the time, then you could also use it again with a finishing pad at low speed to do more hiding and add better protection ;)
 
Polish with Carnauba Blue is one of my favorite all-in-one products. It cleans very well and hides swirls nicely. Slickness is fantastic.

If I want to add EXP or EX as my LSP - what then would be the best one step process prior to a sealant??

for hiding ability PwC blue still is my choice for a better looking finish (again PC being the tool) ..if you want a longer durability for the base, then PwS ...
either way you can't go wrong :rockon
 
PwC under EX or EXP which are sealants??? I thought waxes didnt work well under sealants. As for the question, Pws is what Id use one step. Dont have ay PWC in either white or blue, dont see the need for them with PWS, along with my 1/2 gallon or sealant ive had from prior to ordering Poorboys World Products.
 
Thanks guys for the responses. I completely forgot about PwCBlue. When I loaded my stuff up, I never once thought about bringing that along. I ended up using PP and followed with 2 coats of EX-P.
