Best No Slag Tire Dressing...

I use poorboys trim and mold on a tire applicator and it works great. I apply it, let it sit for about 2 minutes to soak in then wipe off the excess.

i have yet to try Zaino Z16 but that is one small bottle of product and that is also one thing that has kept me from using it. It's nice to be able to buy some stuff in quantity.

The bottle is bigger than it looks online, and the product is pretty watery, so it goes a long way if you use a terry cloth rag or something similar.

Well, I may have just found the product I was looking for. Yesterday, I tried Eagle One, No Drip Tire Shine Gel. It promises no sling on the spray bottle. I applied it yesterday and drove the car this morning, with no sling appearing on body or fender well. I'm real happy about that. The amount of shine is just what I was looking for...more shine than a satin, but less shine than a gloss. If this gel keeps performing this way, I'll stick with it. I also have a bottle of Zaino Z16 coming, so I'll certainly try it, but at $23 shipped vs about $6 for the gel, I may have to stick with the gel.

If you used the Duragloss you get 19oz. for $9.50 ... Or you can get it from Duragloss in 64 oz or gallon sizes. Great product!

now that's what i'm talking about. Although 19oz of tire dressing is a pretty decent size if you use a applicator. Zaino however is far smaller then that.

How does Duragloss compare to Zaino?

$23 shipped? Where are you outside of the states?

The problem with tire dressing slinging is in my opinion . . . . people not allowing it enough time to dry or bond to the tire. If you applied that last night and drove it this morning it had numerous hours to bond which would prevent it from the infamous sling.

Z16 $12.95 + $9.95 Shipping to CA = $22.95

Whatever dressing I use, it takes me 2-3 minutes per tire to apply, wipe on, and really get it in all the grooves with the tire swipes. Any excess gets wiped off. Usually the car sits after I use it, but I rarely see much sling that way.

i used to have the same problem but the key is to just use an old MF towel to wipe up the excess.

i would dress them with a tire applicator then by the time i put the stuff away, i come back and simply spend no more than 10 seconds per tire wiping away the excess dressing.

=D

I use either 303 or Armor All and a foam applicator. No slinging and looks great and it is CHEAP :).

i've been using the AA tire foam and tire shine gel (about the only AA products i use) for years with no problems...

The Eagle One Gel instructions say to apply, then walk away, so that's what I did, and it seems to work. Other products say that, but it really does sling a lot. When I wipe away excess, I lose shine and I kinda want some of the shine. Like I said, somewhere between satin and glossy. I know it looks more show than natural, but I like it.

You've been touting DG 253 for a while. So after reading several threads where you recommend it, I went and bought some. :)

I believe DavidB even said he couldn't tell the difference between Z-16 and 253 some time back.

Hopefully it will come in this Fri, if not then Mon.

Wiping the product off would certainly help any dressing from slinging, however wiping also dulls the look, which is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a shine somewhere between glossy and satin, with a little more emphasis on the glossy. I've used Hyper Dressing in the past. It's a great product, but unless I wipe it away, it slings. When I wipe it away, there goes the gloss.
