I'm almost running out of Tide Free. Since Tide Free is powder, any good liquid detergent you guys recommand that is good for MFs (or MFs safe)??

tide free is made in liquid form too. thats what i use. stay away from powder, here is a quote from the care instruction for a DF concours towel

"ONLY USE LIQUID DETERGENTS, never use dry detergents as many times the granules do not fully dissolve and become trapped in the towel. This can cause scratching of the surface you are cleaning."

Oh sh*t :scared. Thanks for reminding me :D

almost every large laundry detergent company has a "free" version of their regular detergents. you should be able to find something in a liquid form at a local supermarket.

Thanks, I'll tell my wife to get me the liquid form tomorrow :)

She told me she got the regular Tide because she couldn't found Tide Free in liquid form, she also bought Tide Free in powder form. Is regular Tide ok?? Is powder Tide Free good??

if you use the liquid regular tide, make sure to add vinegar to the rinse cycle. the vinegar should remove some of the fragrances that the regular tide has. im not sure about using the powder.

tom p, have you used this micro-restore before? if so can you make any comparisions to the previous way you have washed your mf towels?

I picked it up at the recommendation of DavidB. he suggests that it's quite good.

i will gladly report back after trying it... a few times.
