I use one tablespoon (15 ml) of distilled white vinegar per towel. Any more is just a waste and serves no purpose.

1. First wash your new micro fiber towels to wash away all of the loose micro filaments from the towel.
2. Wash with warm water with any mild laundry detergent. Preferably a liquid type. Wash in "Delicate" Cycle.
3. Tumble dry at low temperature or air dry or line dry for best results.
4. Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or iron.
5. Always wash/dry your micro fiber towels separately from other types of fabrics.

Spilchy said:I wouldn't because it would leave a film on the towel so when it gets wet again, it can transfer smears on to your paint. If you want, you can try a little bit in your wash (not the dryer) and report back to us. It doesn't hurt to experiment.
Do you have hard water? That can be a reason for rough towels. Are you sure all the detergent is coming out? Are you sure they are 100% cotton towels? Many say they are but they really aren't. The 100% cotton towels I have are koala buffing towels. They too get slightly rough.
This could be the nature of the best when it comes to cotton.
