well, i just got my Foamaster and I figured you guys could save me a little trial an error. What is the best product to use in the gun for foam thickness and touchless cleaning power?

Foam gun shampoo opinions are just like...um....you know, everyone has one.

My bad, I've only been on here a week and I hadn't heard any opinions. I had some cheap Blue Coral but i wasn't impressed so I just wondered what did better. Is snowfoam a product or a description?

Snowfoam is an actual product. But I believe only people across the lake use it...

I heard good results with z7, DG 901. List goes on.

I'm sorry. Any product that foams well in the bucket works well in the gun, the ones that don't suds well in the bucket won't foam as well in the gun. Z7 and DG are good ones...most washes foam well so most work well in the foam gun.

if you want to use a OTC shampoo, this provides a good amount of foam when used straight without adding water...

Just to muddy the waters a bit ;) .....

Then there's the whole topic of how the foamgun is being used. Touchless (better have the right LSP on there and not let it get too dirty), constant lubrication and flushing (my choice, here I don't want really thick foam), extended pre-soak (that's where you'd really want the thick foam), or some other method. There are a lot of ways to use the foamgun and the shampoo is just one factor.

I have to agree - i rec'd. a 2 oz. sample with my gun. It should foam for $45/gallon. I'm sticking with DG from a cost/benefit perspective.

I bought a gallon of it about a week ago when it was on sale at Autogeek for $35. That is the only shampoo I will use on my black C6. No marring, great shine, super slick and waves of thick foam. :woohoo:
