Best dilution of EF HI?

What is the best dilution of EF HI for general purpose cleaning of wheels, tires, and wheel wells? Many have said it works great on polished wheels but I never thought to ask at what dilution. Full-strength I'm sure is excessive...

That's a pretty good question actually!! I mainly use it on tires and have been using it full strength. Never thought to dilute!! Hmm...

I generally use 2 parts water to 1 part EF HI for use on my wheels, wells, tires, I use lots of water as well to rinse. Seems to work great, even 3 parts water to 1 part EF HI is still effective in my opinion. EF HI is great stuff!

I have never diluted HI but I am thinking about doing that in order to clean the interior. The undiluted product is pretty strong for a lot of plastics.

Straight out of the bottle! I use it on tires and wheel wells mostly. I spray 100% EF on wetted wheels and plastics, wipe and rinse thoroughly. I never let any chemical sit and soak.

Use it full strength. When you only have a little brake dust, just use car wash solution. As for interior cleaning, try some griots garage Interior cleaner. Its a cleaner in a spray bottle that safley and effectivly cleans leather, vinyl, plastics ect. Much easier than multiple bottles of stuff or a bucket of washing solution. Might worry about using EF Hi on the interior just because it is a tire and wheel cleaner even when diluted but...

but the wheels it is used on it not up to Autopian standars. They sometimes go a month or more without a wash.



For general cleaning, try 50/50. This EF is strong stuff.

Right on Jason. For general Autopians, its a good idea to dilute the EF Hi 50/50 as we really don't allow our wheels and vehicles to get that dirty. Hi Intensity is real strong stuff.

when you spray the EF HI onto the wheels; DO NOT, I mean DO NOT SNIFF the mist.



The first time I used it, I think I used a little too much and inhaled some. It burned my nose, throat and mouth. I coughed excessively for a few seconds and needed to down a bottle of iced tea to cool myself down.



Doodling around a chem lab and be able to smell certain strong acidic chemicals and basic chemicals, I assume EF Hi is very basic. It left that bitter, lingering taste in my mouth while acid is more or a sour taste. Or can I be incorrect? oh well, spent a long day at MEPS.
