Best car soap?

Gold Class is one ounce per gallon. That's 4 ounces to wash a car if you follow recommendations to use at least 4 gallons to prevent swirls and marring.

Poorboy's World, which I haven't ordered yet, dilutes 1/2 oz. per gallon (I think). It's something to counter city hall's concern about too much soap in the mix.

Why not just use something like Optimum No Rinse, which is 1 oz to 2 gallons, fully biodegradable.

That's just one example.

It is available in liquid form. I'm just glad you have volunteered one of your service vehicles to have it's finish cleaned with the cleaners and pumice which are components of Lava hand soap as the test vehicle for that experiment. That should give TD plenty of work cleaning up that mess. :D
 
More importantly is soft water. Soft water with cheap soap IMO is better than high end soap with hard water. Not sure if anyone else has had experience with hard water but here in KS where I live it's 26 grain hardness, which is hard enough to ruin dishes in a month. However, next city over it's only 7, which isn't too bad.

HA, I am sure he would run out of patients with me after a wash or two with that stuff...

I have well water here myself and it's a real problem after a wash. The truth is during the wash as well, the soap will not suds up like it will with soft treated city water. I have not had anything soap wise to crow about and it seems I have used most of the favorites mentioned on the boards. I know it's not the soap but the water as well...:surrender:howdy
 
Haven't tried it but it says if you call this number you can receive a free kit (800) 428-4244. However, you might have to deal with a sales person trying to push a softner, so you might just want to buy one.

It is horrible. I guess because all the rock in the ground here in KS or something not sure. It will tear up your dishwasher, hot water heater and washing machine in a hurry though. Water softener is a must! I have been through 1 water softner already.
