Bentley Flying Spur Black Paint - How it should look

This car is a re-visit from a few weeks ago. I was only able to clean the exterior and interior before the car was entered in a benefit rally. Today, the car returned and another wash of the exterior was done prior to paint correction. The driver's door had cat scratches from the handle to the lower rocker...ugh.

So, my buddy Meg's 83 with a compound pad followed by Menz 106 with a polish pad finished out the door. I gotta say, Bentley paint is so perfect when properly done! No orange peel, no imperfections, just stunning black.

Here's my all-time favorite reflection shot!

Clean wheels again to go with the paint

I should be finished tomorrow and will take some pics in the sun (if the sun manages to hang around)

wow, that looks crazy

I had to look at the first pic for a bit to actually realize that it IS a reflection shot:shocked

Thats is an insane reflection shot totoland!

it not your favorite only, now it is mine! :D

by the way, how did you polish the chrome wheels?

one of my new HRE wheels have fine swirls that I didn't seem to get it out,

it is very fine only seen when hit with a light on the rear right wheel

Thanks Harry and everyone else for the compliments. That pic is going to be my all time reflection shot (for now anyway LOL)

Harry: are the HRE's chrome or clear coated? If so, you can use any wax that you are using for paint as the principal of protection is the same. If they are polished aluminum, holler back and I can give you the process I use.

Toto

For reference, the outer rim sections on HRE's are just polished aluminum unless you request chrome. Either way, they aren't clear coated.

The only clear coated options on HRE's are if you get anything painted, or if you choose brushed aluminum as the finish option.

Now...onto the Bentley.

Looks really awesome man. It is a real treat to work on paint of that quality. Makes you feel that much better about your work when you are done and you are left with a totally flawless paint finish. Flawless from your work, and from the quality of the car you are working on.

Reminds me of the Bentley Continental SC I used to detail. :)

Now I am impatiently waiting on the finished shots of the Bentley you detailed. ;)

Well everyone, I finished and the sun would not poke throught the clouds. I delivered the car to the owner and she is one VERY happy lady!

Here's some un-sun pics

And, one taken in the shot where I buffed 1/2 the hood. I ended up using Meg's NXT followed by the new Pinnacle Souveran Spray quick wax....which gave it another level of depth.

The chrome lip is bare chrome the best quality uncoted I guess,

the face of the wheels is brushed and clearcoated,

it is the chrome lip that has the fine swirls.

I was an idiot trying to remove the rotor brown dust from the chrome lip after

washing the car and taking it for a neighborhood drive around, using only ONR QD ratio

and MF towel :(
