Why do people that can afford a car like that not have a more steady detailer maintaining their car?

From what I've gathered, they just plan on getting a new one in a couple of years. Also, I believe they view that car as more of a status symbol rather than them paying for a high priced car because of the love of that particular vehicle.

Still no reason to beat the living begeez out of the car

It's disposable to them just like everything else. It doesn't have the same value to them as it does you and me. Can't wait to see the end result. Hopefully you share some of the prodcedures.

As somebody whose main detailing clientele comes from high end, exotic, and ultra-rare valuable (I have detailed more than 20 cars worth more than 1,500,000) I can (perhaps) offer a different perspective.

Owners of high-end cars, much like owners of other cars, don't know the difference and are uneducated on paint care. While there may be some who view them as status symbols, it hasn't really been my experience.

It, just like the rest of the population, is a lack of education (on paint care and results) or not seeing the problem. Millions and millions of people go to their cars everyday, never notice the swirl marks or the condition of the paint, and hop in, and drive to were they have to go. Just because we notice it doesn't mean they do.

It has been my experience, that with proper education, most owners of high-end cars will appreciate what you can do for them, just like owners of regular cars. In the end you will always have some (of any bracket) who could car less and you will have some who become fanatical.
