I was closely inspecting the IS300 today and noticed it had swirl marks on it. It has very few but still, I'm mad! I always use the 2 bucket technique and use klasse SG with clean MF towels. I must be doing something wrong. I did QD the car with a terry cloth towel a week ago, I think that may have done it :( . It is amazing how easy it is to swirl a car up. They are very light and im hoping a few more layers of SG will fill them in.

I agree, the terry towel is probably what did it. To keep a car totally flawless you must leave it sit in your garage and never touch it or drive it, it's sad but true.

Well if you had the Lexus dealer touch the car before you picked it up than that would be a good culprit for the swirls, they are terrible...wash cars with a broom, and apply a simple wax with a rotary.

As suggested, it could have been the dealer. Now that you know where they are, and how to view them, you can work on your washing, drying, and other techniques and see if you can keep them at this level. Once you get to the point where you know that "you" arent creating swirls, you can go full tilt and actually remove them. My take is that it's a waste of time removing them until one learns how to not create them. In the real world though, I agree with Showroom.

Starting with the wheels, we used Sonax Full Effect, A pH balanced Wheel cleaner safe for all types of wheels, and does a GREAT job eating at the brake dust.

Once the Wheel cleaner reacts with the brake dust, It will turn a redish color showing you that it is working.

Then we sprayed all of the lower panels with a Bug and tar remover to help dislodge and stuck on grime.

Next we pre rinsed the car knocking off and heavy/loose debris

After that we gave it a good foam bath to help suspend the dirt up off the paint when being washed.

Using a 100% sheep skin wash mitt and two bucket method, we wash the car going in straight lines to help prevent any chance of circular marks.

Next we pull the car in to dry if off and then clay the paint.

We decided to try out some Dodo juice "Time to Dry" to help the drying process (Not sure how I feel about this product yet)

For this car, I chose to give it a nice coat of Black Fire Midnight Sun, BFMS is a super high quality carnauba wax that is designed to be Wiped on Wiped off, no need to wait for the wax to "Haze" over. this wax can also be applied on top of the Black Fire Wet Diamond Sealant to create the "Wet Ice Over Fire" treatment.

Awesome job Eric.

Looks a lot like the one I did back in November, except my interior was red.

You rocked it!!

* note: The car is not a gt speed, it is a new styled gt. Again, great work.

You are correct....I couldn't remember what year the owner said it was, and I rememberd he said it had the 600hp engine. so when I googled a few things, I seen that the "Speed" had the 600hp. but then the owner told me it was a 2012. So thanks and good call. still learning these boss cars :D
