Items used:

Crest Toothpaste

Plexus Plastic Cleaner

Vroom MF towel

(brands really dont make a difference here)



Applyed to the yellow part of the taillights... they were becoming dull.



Before:

Toothpaste + Discolored Plastic =

Basically toothpaste contains mild abrasives that helps in removing the layer of discolored plastic. just rub a bit on the area you want to clear up, then use a type of plastic cleaner or soap + water to remove the sticky residue off.

Use the plain old white Colgate or Crest. When I used to build model cars and airplanes I would use toothpaste to buff out scratches from the model canopies and windshields.....sheesh that was like 30 years ago ARGHHH!!!!!

Bingo. It is imperative to use a classic paste version, because newer gels won't be near as abrasive.

Why dont you just run over it with the PC when your polishing or cleansing the paint?

I will occasionaly use a little TP on the wifeys rings to bring the glitter back to life......

Yeps... as long as it is yellowing on the outside.
