Beer Time

Glad I stumbled across this thread. Have been searching for Dixie Blackened Voodoo Lager for some time and believe Dixie may have been a Katrina casualty. Can anyone confirm? In the meantime I like an occasional Abita Turbo Dog when I feel like a brown ale.

"NEGATIVE GHOST RIDER THE TOWER IS FULL"....

NO, Dixie products are still available in of a places a market chain here called WHOLE FOODS, read: YUPPIE FOODS lol :chuckle: I dont imagine I could ship you some but they still carry it because last time I was there (cough, cough) to buy my all organic, 100% recycled tree hugger aerospace cookies, I made a comment about Dixie, I am pretty sure this is just a re-label and somone bought the name from the original people...? But I cannot be sure, we have no DIXIE brewery left so...and Voodoo lager kinda sounds like Abita...?

Edit, has I suspected:

Haven't been to your area post Katrina and is about time to make that drive along the Bayou Teche then to Vieux Carre for more fine eats and drinks. Tipitina's up and running?

This afternoon a fabulous brew, Port Brewing Company/The Lost Abbey Older Viscosity, one of the best RIS to date for me, highly recommended.
