Beer Time

Second brew for the night, a Drake's IPA, an English IPA, mostly on the malt side as an EIPA should be, very tasty.

Tonight a very tasty RIS, Sweetwater Happy Ending Imperial Stout, would recommend this one, very easy drinking at 9% ABV.

Yes thats the name, he said its a hell of a strong beer lol, is it really illegal? The place I know here keeps it in the back.

Dogfish Head had a brew a couple of years back at 23% ABV. I've had a few of the other DFH brew's in the 20-21% ABV, they will kick your *** pretty fast, definitely sippers. The DFH brew's usually run about $10 a bottle (12oz.) and are always readily available. NO it is not illegal, whatever made you think that? Just be careful drinking these BIG BEERS.

Cheers!

Sisters co-worker told me it was illegal lol, but looking at the link I guess it is illegal in some states I guess that won't allow an ABV that high.

Yeh I don't like liquor and doubt I'd like a beer that strong, sipping it out of a wine glass like the picture I found lol.

Not very exotic, but I had my first Blue Moon "Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale" seasonal last night. I am a big fan of regular Blue Moon and had slight reservations on the Harvest brew (just didn't think it might be for me). Turns out, very tasty and I actually like it a lot!! It's definitely a "Fall/Autumn" brew and I think it does the job nicely. Hints of nutmeg, and other spices come through very subtle with a light finish of pumpkin pie. I'm not even a fan of pumpkin pie and I think it's a good taste for the brew. Another Blue Moon hit for me!! Whoohoo! Being a temporary seasonal, I'd recommend anyone looking for a decent Harvest brew, pick up a pack now and give it a whirl.

Second up tonight, a nice can of beer from Oskar Blues Grill & Brewery, Old Chub, an Scottish Style Ale that is very smooth and tasty at 8% ABV, it will go down very very easy, but watch out.

My second brew for the day, never heard of this brewery before, but their IPA is pretty tasty. Il Vicino Wet Mountain India Pale Ale.
