Well I've been a reader of this forum for over a year now. Unfortunately, once college started this past fall, I reluctantly said bye the detail world and entered hell. So now I'm back home for a few weeks on winter break. It's only a matter of time before my pathfinder and I go back to school.
Over the several months I <em class='bbc'>was[/i] a reader at this forum, I picked up loads of information. Now that I'm back home, I feel as though I've lost the touch I once had (I haven't washed my USV in over 4 months). Anyway, my favor to all you experts reading is simple: check out my current technique and supply list. Update me on the latest tips and products.

Supply List:
Pinnacle ProClay Kit (Just ordered)
Klasse AIO/SG
Tons of MFs from CMA
Tons of Canon fieldcrest
P21S Bodywork Shampoo
3 wash buckets
Tons of chenille wash pads and mitts
Absorber(3)
CMA's Wheel Care Kit - P21S wheel cleaner, OXO bruches, EF Black Opal, Tire Swipes (Just ordered)
Meguiars FI
303 Protecetant
Eagle One never dull
Plexus
3M glass cleaner, plastic cleaner(hate it), plastic polish(hate it)

Conolly Hide food
Tons of other products I can't think of

My goal is to start all over, giving the SUV one great detail job before heading back to school. I'm fimilar with the norm; the wash system, the tire treatment etc. What I need help on is clay! I'm terrified of it. After that I would appreciate application tips on Klasse and also a reccomendation for a wax topper. Blitz? Souveran? I don't know.

I will probably start the job off with the following:

Exterior:
- Dawn wash followed by P21S wash
- Clay (seeking advice)
- cleaners/polishes. I'm going to stick with Klasse until it's finished. Then perhaps try out Ziano or Blackfire. The weather here has been pretty humid so I need advice on AIO/SG application.
- waxes. Seeking good wax topper, preferrably one with carnauba a long with a cooperative QD(one that can also be used to remove Klasse as well as assist in clay process)
- 303 treatment to all rubber trim
- never-dull metal treatment
- wheels and tires. I've got it down to an art with the CMA kit.
- Everything else (glass, plastic, etc) taken care of.

Interior:
- Seeking better interior products. Lexol is... not effective. The Pinnacle interior kit caught my eye. Can anyone reccommend it or any other leather products that work well.
- Seeking good instruction for a great interior job. One with leather.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to read. I hope to hear some more amazing advice soon. I'll be waiting anxiously. Happy new year!

Claying is simple and fun...

I suggest you read Davids article on the CARPORT site under DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS. It is very informative and will probably answer most of your questions and calm all of your fears.

you will need a lubricant to use with the clay. QD's are the natural choice but others use a shampoo and water mixture as well.

Spray surface and keep wet while moving the clay bar back and forth across the paint removing the contaminates. then wipe up the mess.

Search on here for clay there is probably a more lengthy explanation I just wanted to give the basics so you could have a better understanding.

Good LUCK

Hello and welcome to the crew! Looks like you have a collection of terrific products.

I'm rushing out the door right now so I'll stop back later to see if you are getting the info you seek.

Most of the products you mentioned are real favorites of this board. It shows that you have been reading a bit here. Good for you. Laters

I like good Beading pictures and thought I'd start a thread for people to post a pic of beads.
