"Battle of the supercars Ferrari/Detail

I went out to wal-mart and bought one of those plastic tubs that have the two lids that fold in and interlock... Kinda hard to describe. My Makita Buffer fits perfectly in there with all it's pads. You can probably do the same thing for the PC.

I bought a sturdy, plastic tool box at Wal-Mart for about $12, took out the tray on top, and have most of my polishing supplies along with the PC in it. It works great by keeping all the pads and polishes with the PC.

Ok I'll play the devil's advocate on this highly controversial thread. ;) I just take the polishing pad off when I'm done then wind the cord up around the body of the PC then put it on a shelf in the cabinet. That takes away the step of getting it in an out of a box and it takes up less space.

btw I use a covered milk crate to airdry my foam PC pads after I've washed them. A few crate stacked up are a convenient, low-budget way to store clean and dirty applicators and towels.

Earlier in the year the "Speed Chanel" taped a segment of this Ferrari against a Porsche GT3RS(Sharkwerks 3.9 GT3RS) @ Beal Airforce base north of Sacramento with Tanner Foust driving the Porsche and Paul tracy driving the "Blue mediterrano" Ferrari F-430 which is modified with software(Evosit) Fabspeed headers & exhaust.

During the 3 day shoot as this Ferrai did NOT have clearfilm to protect it(like the Porsche) it was chipped up pretty good as exspected. The car also now has Factory Scuderia wheels/front bumper/carbon side skirts.

Another painter other than the one I use re-sprayed the front trunk cover/quarters and bumper.........it did not go well and my shop re-sprayed the front bumper as there was too much to deal with, I was however able to fix the rest(re-wetsand /correct) the finish.

Re-spray aftermath.

Dang Bob, just when I thought you have shown us all there is, you bring out more hammered cars! ~X(

Great save on that one :StarWars:

Bob,
Once again, you blow me away with your quality of work. That was a brilliant save.
Also, very cool that that was the car on Battle of the Super Cars. I LOVE that show.

Good timing on this post Bob, I actually just watched this episode a few days ago as I had it recorded on my DVR.

Nice Job \m/

By far the best looking F430 I have seen (I LOVE blue cars), WOW. Great work on that trashed finish it looks perfect now and is further proof that an amazing detailer can fix a sub par paint job (if there is enough film build).

Updated work done to this car(Not milking a old write up ......I promise ;) car had hard water etch, but new lower suspension, Novitec carbon engine bay tightness and a prototype Fabspeed exhaust which to me sounded like a Enzo at cold start up.

As I stated the suspension was new and lower, but not because I sat in the trunk........just heading off comments of the smart a** nature(lol).

Hard water spots on the whole car but really bad on the inside of the trunk lid where the paint is a matte non-clearcoated "Dryness" which held onto the etch like a pitbull and would require my "Ample figure" to get into the trunk as I am not a contortionist.

Very nice cars and always look good when done.

What products do you use for the low pressure wash? Do you do that because you like it or because California environmental laws?

Todd is right, that is a Bad A$$ 430.

You really do some nice work and take auto detailing to another level. Nicely done.
