Okay, I finally had a chance today to use this wax. The red wax from http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-product-discussion/90281-free-wax-guinea-pigs.html?highlight=red+wax Like I said before, it smells great. I ran out of day light so I will post pics tomorrow(hopefully it doesnt rain...50%). I haven't used a paste wax in about a year so it took some getting used to again. I did the driver side hood, and roof, the rest of the car was done with z2 x 2 with z6 between and z8 at the end. Anyway I clayed the car before and made sure no wax was left then I applied mystery wax. Like I said I had to get used to it and not put so much. I love the way it goes on, very nice and smooth. It was an extremely hot day in houston and I was out under the sun applying it. I don't think it is a very sun friendly wax. It didn't want to come off that easily. Maybe I applied too much, maybe it was the sun. A little z6 and it came off just fine. There wasn't any dusting at all though, so that was a good thing. The car is a new charger red with flake. The flake looked great. The paint is pretty slick, I want to apply another coat to the hood and roof tomorrow if it doesnt rain cause I think with two coats the slickness would be very good. It does stain your hands like a mofo though LOL. My mf's that took the wax off are red, but I'm sure that will come off in the washer. Anyway I liked the wax and would def use it again.

If it stains your hands, you were not worried about what was in it? I thought it was kind for him to do so, but the first time it stained my hands, it would not go on my paint.

not bad, it wipes off and what didnt wipe off rinses off. It doesnt stay there for 2 days.

Anyway, last night about 3 hours after I finished the car and posted this it decided to poor down for about 45 minutes. Houston weather sucks. yesterday there was a 20% and it came down hard at night. Today was a 50% and its a gorgeous day.

Okay well 2 days after it decided to poor after I washed it, I re washed it and applied OS and Z8. I know it hasnt been long enough to test but the Red Wax beaded up just like the Zaino if not a tad bit better (After looking at the first pic it looks like the RW's beading was tighter than the Z). Time will tell how it holds up though. The side of the hood and roof that the RW was on were pretty slick. It does do well for the flake, it makes it pop pretty good. I did not apply OS or Z8 to the RW only to the rest of the car. I washed the car with ONR I just misted the hood before the wash to see how it was going to bead up. Anyway here are some pics of the car. I will put which side is what.

Well....not so much. LOL To me it isn't that big a deal though. I smelt them to see if I could smell the wax and couldnt so its just a clean dirty. I don't know, its not going to change how the MF works so it doesnt bother me, I'll just designate that MF for that wax.

Well thanks to my fabulous girlfriend helping me out on this review(its her car the wax is on) she updated me today after it rained on her car. As she was leaving for work this morning there was a bit of water on her car and she said right when she left the driveway and started down the street the passenger side with zaino and OS fell right off, the side with the RW didn't. It stayed on there pretty much the whole way to work. Also the passenger side before she left she said had tighter beading which I figured it would since I applied the OS and Z8. Anyway just keeping whoever is interested informed.

I believe NXT+Nattys+a couple other readily available ingredients. I think Barretward will chime in here.

Thats pretty awesome that hes mixing stuff up and offering it for testing. Hope he chimes in and says whats in the red wax.

Does the Charger's hood have a line down the center of the hood? Like a raised crease? Or is it just the two different waxes that cause the color change? Sorry can't tell from the pics.

I agree, I just wish he would tell people what is in them, before they put it on their paint.

Theres a raised crease in the middle

Red wax ingredients:

11g of NXT (clean)

11g of Natty's Blue (looks)

7g of Z8 (emulsify)

1.5g of Z5 (seal)

2g of Cadmium Red 3x ground (filler / color) finer than powered sugar [actually a derivative in an AZO compound (nitrogen based)] ph neutralized with an aromatic aliphatic conditioning. In English - paint / person safe.

4g of orange oil (scent / beading) too much obviously since the water clinged to the hood

Barrett

Very cool Barrett! did you melt the NXT and Nattys together in a pot or something?

Better yet, did you just put all those ingredients in a pot?

Jim

Okay 1 month and 18 days later I had a chance to wash the car again. It has rained constantly since, and if not then we were busy. Well before I washed the car I showered water on to the hood and was very shocked. The red wax withstood the elements better than the zaino. You can see in the pics(left side RW right side Zaino). Washing(with ONR) the car I noticed that the side with the RW was as slick as the zaino'ed rest of the car. Pretty slick, it was nice. After the car was all washed I sprayed the hood again and both were beading and sheeting basically the same way. Here are the pics

well of course it rained again today so I got a chance to see the water still rolling off the entire car red wax and all. After this last wash I will be ordering some of the red wax if it ever makes its way into production.

Not so much as a touch up, thought maybe the residue in the chips might appear red rather than white. PITA to clean the chips out to get rid of white dots.
