bad water spots/eatching help!!!!

hey guys im new to this site but have been tinkering with cars for a long time and this will be my first question on here so here it is.



on my 03 black e500 benz i have some really bad water eatching on the hood and only the hood.

i have a pc with most of the lake county pads and i cant get rid of them.

i use both the zaino and blackfire sealants.

i tryed useing the megs ultimate compound with both a orange and a yellow pad and it does help but in certain light they show up really bad.

i do all my polishing and detailing in my garage so its under florcresent light so i can see most of the defects.



i also tryed the 3m rubbing compound and also tryed mezerna intensive polish and i still have em.:buffing:



what do i have to do/need to x em out?

maybe a paint cleaner... something like KLASS AIO OR ZAINO AIO..i'm not to sure... let the pros chime in......
 
Hard water etching is nasty, nasty, nasty. It can definitely be risky chasing the damage too deeply into your clear coat.



I think you would be best off letting a pro take care of this.



A chemical cleaner isn't going to help; the hard water minerals were gone after his first pass with an abrasive polish. Now he's left with the etching in the clear that can only be removed and/or minimized with additional abrasive polishing.
 
if Klasse AIO doesn't remove it, then wetsanding is your only option, or learn to live with it because removing that much clear just isn't worth it

what about M105, danase water spot remover, Menzerna SIP, etc There are more options than a AIO polish/wax and wetsanding...

lol I meant to go back and edit my post for compounds but I had to run, you're right though
 
Clay it! Then use something like m105 that should do it



You shouldnt resort to sanding, for water spots
 
not to hijac but I have what looks like water spots real bad on the metal surfaces in my engine bay. My initial thoughts were to clay but too many ridges and sharp edges and stuff if you know what I mean.



Should I try just rubbing some klasse aio on it? Will that do the trick:?
