Bad day rant

Today i had most of the day off so i figured i would give my truck a nice detail. I started out washing with dawn and clay bar. Everything good so far. Now i start buffing with 3m polish and edge green pad on the rotary and this is where the trouble started. I just lost it i couldn't get the buffer to do what i wanted and the product was messier that dog sh!t. I ended up pressure washing the whole truck and trying to get all the little white dots off. After i rinsed there were so many buffer trails it was rediculous. This by far is the worst i have ever done. I tried again on the hood with not much more luck so i rewashed the truck really quick (3rd time) rinsed and walked in the house. Don't really care right now how it looks im so pissed.

how much product where you using? and what speed on the buffer?
 
well there you have it, too much heat, not enough product . #1 mistake with a rotary and the reason peopel are scared of them.

first you want to prime your pad good the first time or so...use a little extra product to get it primed...spread it on a low speed..then go to your polishing speed..around 1300 to 1700 ..I mist my pad with some water also for the first time using...reduces dry pad syndrome..

I used 3M yesterday and had great results..I buffed at 1500 rpm with a green 6" edge classic pad...also heat and humidity play into this...some hot humid days i can not get anything to work right...

I aslo used Meg's DACP yesterday and was the best day ever using it..was dry out and in the low 80's...I have used this before in warmer humid weather and it gummed up..dusted...worked like crap....

but keep your speed down..use a little more product the first couple times...work in the shade...and see how that goes...

you will get a process soon enough..I believe we all went what you are going thru right now...it is just one of those days...

it seems you were using to high of a speed....slow it down..product will work longer and not dry ball on you..little white spots

good luck...finish it up and show it off..lol...
