backing on LC pad coming off...

well, due to machine washing, one of my pads started coming apart...

i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions as far as adhesives go to glue the velcro-type backing back onto the pad??

thanks

Is this the 6.5" or 7" flat pad ? I had similar experience with delaminating from the hole in the center starting to peel off. I now use LC's VC 7.5" pads and the construction is completely different as it is made for the rotary, much more tougher with a plastic backing instead of just glue and velcro.

How did you determine if its a washing fault ...there is to much variables

first contact where you purchased it and give them the skinny.....

again it not recommended to reglue but is possible but you are taking a chance esp damaging paint...Elliot is on the right path spraying adhesive can give a more consitant coverage then a thick glue that need to be spread... if i recall you may be able to go to a arts and crafts store and may find some adhesive there...again im not suggestion it thats on you...good luck

well the way i determined that was simple... i've been using the same pads for a long time, and washing them in a bucket by hand with meg's car wash soap... in the last few weeks though, my mom threw 2 pads, at different times, in the machine, and both came out the same way... not separated in the same place, but similar

I used a 3M contact cement..spread it on thin on the areas and then put a heavy weight on it like a full tea kettle and left over night....
