<strong class='bbc'>Anyone here ever try J&J Baby shampoo to wash your car? [/b]</blockquote>No Jason, but I once tried Pinnacle car wash on the baby :D

Actually, I think a similar question was posed before, and Ron K seemed to think there was no problem with using the J&J, as the composition was fairly similar to car wash shampoo

I've used baby shampoo in the past and there is really not a problem with it. I believe that I recall Ron saying that if it's safe for your skin, it should be safe for your car. Obviously, you'd want to avoid something with oils/moisturizers, but...

Personally, I've been using EF PowerWash+ with great success. It's really good at getting grime and tar off, without causing wax stipping, etc. Compared to Mother's Gold Class, I like it a lot better. I recently used both, back-to-back this past weekend and found PowerWash+ to be slipperier, and the suds lasted a lot longer. Plus I like the smell. Mother's smells like bubble gum to me.

The baby shampoo is a good thing to use when you don't have your normal shampoo, but I don't think that I'd make a habit of it.

With Zaino finish I would rather use a soap designed for a car's finish and one that does not have any oils in it. For emergency I have used baby shampoo on a carnuba waxed car.

Pollen + black car = in garage and drive company car or beater :(

Pollen and black cars. Doesn't get much worse. I washed it yesterday because my car was green, and after a couple hours outside, it's green again.

Actually, the main reason I washed it was because I had it parked at a friend's house and his elementry school age daughter wrote on my car with her finger in the pollen. Stupid SOB. I got pretty mad and wanted to yell at the kid, but I reluctantly refrained.

...stupid kid

'puter, I'll have to check...the bottle has a red label and the soap is a golden yellow, if that helps. I picked it up at a supermarket on impulse.

that's the stuff...I finally got a chance to look last night.

Thanks 'puter...BTW, do you think the Gold Class is any better??
