Aztec Heated Extractor review

Reflections said:
I have read all the bad stories about Durrmaid units, and am planning to order an Aztec unit myself. If there is any confusion about this, I'm sure a rep at Aztec would be able to provide further information.

Question for anyone who owns the Aztec: How long does it take for auto carpets to dry after using this machine -- assuming the carpet stays at about room temperature? What about if it's colder?

about now everyone knows my problem with durrmaid and i absolutely hate it. I was told by Detailing by 3 people they'd look into it and i havent heard anything. That was like a month ago. I decided to call aztec and they suggested what could be a possible fix I was very impressed with how they offered to help me even though i have a durrmaid.

after shampooing the carpets it doesnt take too long for the carpets to dry maybe about an hour or 2.

Can you spray the hot water (after you've shut off the heater so you don't blow a fuse) and use the suction at the same time?

the heater doesnt stay on all the time. It just heats the water to a certain degree then shuts itself off and you go from there

hi, I bought 2 of these machines there a good little extractor the only downside is the noise they create, one machine has just broke down so watch this space for a reveiw on there customer support go for the clear plastic tool as the steel detailing tool I found clumbersum plus I like to see the colour of the water I'm extracting.

As promised an update regarding the customer service I have recieved from Aztec.I contacted customer services explaining that the float switch had failed causing the machine to overheat causing considerable damage internally, To my surprise at this point Aztec were already talking about replacing machine The problem being I'm located in the UK & Aztec are based in the USA so obviously the machine itself was not worth shipping back to the USA for Inspection or to be repaired due to the high shipping rates.24 hours later after another phone call to a guy called dennis martignetti Aztec where willing to ship me a brand new machine based on a couple of pictures of the damage I emailed them, Not only that they shipped the machine instantly using UPS 2 day delivery & even went out there way to write a report saying that the machine was a replacement so I did not occur any futher customs charges. I run my own business & I can say this has been the best customer service I have recieved ever! This is an honest account & is written for the benefit of fellow autopians I have no links what so ever with Aztec but credit were credit is due,Oh & the new machine is an improved version ! As in my previous reveiw the only gripe I had was with the noise but I can live with that as the machine itself is perfect for those on a smaller budget or limited space but still require a good alround performer, thanks Aztec & thankyou Dennis in particular. :brit
