enough said, whats everyones hot tip on all that plastic on the Chevy Avalanche !!

Never done one but I'd try something meant for exterior trim.

Give Stoner's Trim Shine, 303 Aerospace, or Pro's Bumper Renwer a try.

I've used all three and they seem to work well. I think 303 Aerospace is my favorite.

I did an Avalanche last summer and used a cheap cleaner wax called "Z best Wax" that I picked up at the Auburn Cord Dusenburg a few years ago...it's one of those waxes you can use on paint, plastic, rubber, chrome....at any rate, it did an excellent job at cleaning the plastic, shining it up (as shined up as plastic can get) and protecting it.

No real close up shots of the plastic itself, but it came out real nice.

i havent done the plastic on my lanche yet, it stays garged and is only driven on sunny weekends. but i plan to clean the wax stains using 3m adhesive and tar remover, then thourghly wash with a apc, then dress with 303, i will post before and after shots tommorow

SEARCH for it....as I have one and have commented before.....

303(Zaino Tire Dressing etc) - works OK but runs and drips onto paint after a dew or rain if you do not buff like crazy

KLASSE Rubber/Vinyl Protectant - works pretty good as well and just buff those parts above the paint to prevent drips....oily product but lasts a long time.....

Stoners TRIM SHINE - AV oweners rave about it I just do not like the spray can cause it gets on the paint and you have to QD before you can apply wax or sealant

Zaino Z5 - Yeah one guy applied Z5 and said he had no problems buffing off.....I have not tried this so do at your own risk....

I could go more but I would have to make ya buy an AVALANCHE LOL

Why not spray it onto an applicator instead of right onto the plastic?

You can also buy it in 5 gallon jugs so you don't have to get an aerosol can :D

The owners have tried the spray on APP and well they say it does not work as well....I have yet to try it.....

And well 5 gallons of anything is something I do not need unless it is CROWN

There is more plastic then paint on the AVY.....and do both sides of the bed covers.....and side storage bin lids........do not put anything on the cargo matt....just clean it.....anything you apply makes it slick and then stuff will slide around....

AND DO WASH UNDER rear matt.....

You could always give Moose Wax a shot. It's a cleaner wax that works on plastic. I used it on the plastic mulching cover on my Lawn-Boy without any problems.

I can send you a sample of the stuff since I have a whole quart of it sitting in my garage.
