Autopia Video Thread

I never understood why Koenigsegg rest the wiper blade dead center in the windshield. Who wants their view obstructed all the time like that? Why not tuck it away?
 
Had a chance to visit a tire plant. It was facinating to watching a tire made and gave me a whole new respect for these round, black, rubber things we so often take for granted. The plant was pristine and the process very detailed. The end product was immaculate. I've never looked at at drifting or a burn out contest the same since that day. Makes me cringe knowing what went into building these things.

I've been told that Michelin only allows their employees to work in a given number of the processes involved to build a tire during their time with the manufacturer. They don't want anoyone to be able to duplicate their proprietary process.

The first time I realized how much time and energy went into tires was from watching a documentary on building the Bugatti Veyron. Apparently Michelin makes special tires just for the Bugatti Veyron and it's made almost entirely by hand. I'll try and find the video.
