Autopia Video Thread

That clip is pretty amazing. There are so many points of contact that have to let go to drop that axle on the street, fascinating.

I'm waiting for you to take this bad boy to the next level and start pushing some air through it. Nothing quite like a blown Hemi.

Yeah, that's definitely in my future.

CAM/Spring/Valve Job (maybe even P&P custom heads) > High stall torque converter > Paramount built tranny (when mine goes, with new TCM) > 76mm Turbo kit (stage 6)

I'm estimating I need about 20k banked to complete my build (don't tell my wife) if I ever stop spending on detailing products and tires...

Take it from an old dog street and strip guy. Think long and hard about your convertor swap. It makes perfect sense when you're pointed straight down the 1/4 mile but... If you're really going to drive it on the street running a high RPM convertor is a pain in the butt. It just doesn't make sense to run a convertor that isn't "locked up" at the RPM's you're typically tooling around at on the street. When on the street you might be running say 1700 RPM in high gear. You've got a 2500 RPM stall in there so even at normal speeds your convertor is still slipping. Poor mileage is only one side of the story particularly when it comes to actually using your 4 wheel drive.. Now if you're going to dedicate it to the strip wind away. You can have these built anyway you want and a couple hundred RPM's might be a good thing.
