I'm not wild about it on paint or even brightwork, though sensible/discerning people like Bill D like it just fine for stuff like that. I just really *REALLY* like it on the trim (noting that I don't dress said trim), enough that I'll buy it just for that.



Kinda a funky smell to it, not objectionable but it makes me think of (well maintained, clean) restrooms for some reason :nervous:
 
That's because one of my "list's" when I joined them was to do away with fragances in professional products, however, there were a couple of production runs where our blending facility put a "fragrance" in the Fast Finish.

Needless to say, I went through the roof on that one.

Awww, what the heck, years ago and what is of behind me is just that, behind me.

Know why I was againist fragrances in products/

A couple, if not more, the first being why put a fragrance in a "dressing", was that so the dogs in the nieghborhood would be more prone to raise their leg on the tires, and all that putting it in was to increase the prices so that we couldn't take that money and put more real resin in the product.

One of the others was that I realized that many times the person using a product had their little kids about when they were using a product. If the kid smelled something that was like their breakfast cereal, or gum, they would not hesitate to "taste or drink it", and that, well it's not good.

So, in my world, back then, no fragrances that were not necessary.

May sound weird, but then I am weird anyway.

Yep I always found it rather helpful to use as a lubricant during the drying process. It seems to make it go by faster.



I am a big believer in no fragrances in products but it seems like AI is one of few or maybe the only that actively pursued it. I guess I have to keep on sneezingevery now and then while detailing.
 
Bill, you are still leaving some protection on the surface of the subject when you do that.

Just less than if you used it as waterless and protectant.

The old Sebring hasn't had anything other than Fast Finish on it for close to 4 years, I am just watching to see how it does, since I spray it on about every 3 or 4 months.

So far, not a lot of beading, which is B/S anyway as an indicator, but the bird bombs are not creating any etches to this point, so there is some amount of polymer protection hanging on.

My deal was to always spray the car down after the rinse, but before drying. Seemed to get the surface very slick as I dried- mentioned in earlier post as added lubricant.



Since it is still around, I'll probably get a gallon or so when my other product runs out.



Still have about 8 16oz bottles of the leather cleaner and conditioner to use. :)

I've been finding that FF is one of the finest spray "wax" type products on the market. All is well if I leave a little protection behind when I use with while drying.
 
Ron Ketcham- Yeah, I generally prefer the "untweaked"/chemically scents, but a few of the cutesy ones do please me. I just find it odd that I *like* the smell of the FF!



Bill D- yeah, I always think of you when I use FF.



lawrendea & WCD & Bill & Ketch- Gee, sounds like a lot of people like FF more, or in a more general sense, than I do :think: Eh, it just doesn't leave stuff looking/feeling the way SpeedShine (waxes) or FK425/146 (sealants) do...at least not for me :nixweiss



But we're all on the same page as far as using leaves-stuff-behind QD when drying.
