Has anyone heard of this stuff and is it any good? Someone brought it up on another board and I had never heard of it or heard of it mentioned here.
 
Autoglym is a British brand, its not very popular over here in the US because :



a)Theres better quality products generally.



b)Alternatives are more readily available here in the US.



c)Its expensive compared to its competitors.



I used to live in the UK and basically you either used AG or something cheap and nasty.

AG knew this and overpriced it terribly.



I'm afraid the situation is different here with Megs, Klasse, Blackfire, Zaino and Mothers all fighting for 'best product'.



Most of these comapnies offer a better range at much cheaper prices than AG can match, with them having to import everything from the UK.



Add to this the pound to dollar exchange rate ... and

jpws6- Well, I like it. Or rather, I like SOME of their stuff. I use Autoglym's Super Resin Polish on one of my cars (and on a friend's car) instead of AIO. It seems to last longer and to hide swirls a little better. At LEAST as easy to use as AIO, at least for me. Looks great with a wax topper. Plus, I just LIKE it for some hard to verbalize reason. I give it a hearty :xyxthumbs



I also like their interior vinyl treatment and their exterior vinyl stuff too (sorta a thick, green gel), but I suppose there ARE plenty of products out there that are just as good as these for less $, at least here in the US.
 
A couple of years ago, someone did a side by side test with Klasse and Autoglym. The results seem to be they gave similar levels of shine. The AG was slightly higher in gloss but Klasse gave a little more depth. CMA have also tested Autoglym Resin & Gloss.

AG makes some great glass polish. Can't find anyone but CMA who sells it. In fact, I can't find a glass polish anywhere. (AIO doesn't count!)
 
I have the Glass polish. I like it very much. My windshield seem to sparkle after using it. It might not be saying much since the windshield is dirty most of the time.



Also, I do observe after applying the glass polish that it seem to have a water repellant effect. About 50% as good compared to RainX but good enough to see through rain with turning on the wipers.
 
Yep, Autoglym glass polish produce nice sparkling clean windows.



I'm also using Autoglym Super Resin Polish (aka Klasse AIO) and Extra Gloss Protection (aka Klasse SG). We can't get Klasse over here but i've got great result with AG SRP and EGP. :up
 
I use Autoglym shampoo, followed by Autoglym polish, toped

with s100. I have been extremely happy with the results.

I find that on my car (Black Mercedes) the Autoglym

Polish makes the black much more deeper then Mequires Gold Class topped with s100.



I will try and post a few pics when the whether here in VA improves.



I will be trying out the moose products once my supply of autoglym has finished.

Smells a bit like cheep bubble bath but only If you stick your nose in the bucket.

I am currently using it and bagged a trophy about 3 weeks ago.



After preping surface with a SMR...did AG resign polish...



Next...Colonite Insulator Wax...NO SH*T...as I understand it, originally made for elec wire insulators....



Then, AG Liquid Hard Wax.... Killer look....



BTW - The plastic rubber cleaner (Prof line # 07B) is unreal also. Red gel that goes on rubber and plastic...stays on forever...only thing I use on engine plastic/rubber....

Where do you find the plastic rubber cleaner? I'd like to try it out.

I'm only aware of thier Bumper Care which is in green gel form. What the product name of the red color plastic/rubber cleaner?
