Well, I was able to salvage a little bit of FMJ that the forum member Silk sent me. (The bottle literally exploded in transit):furious:

I applied it on top of Autoglym SRP (also provided by Silk) all of which was doen by hand.

I am quite happy with the results!!!!:bounce

Silk, you are a true American:usa Thank you again for everything!!!

I think it turned out pretty damn good!!! I wanted to put another coat of FMJ on it, but I seriously couldn't salvage any more... Should I top it with Aquawax?

I like cg 5050 on pearls and metalics. It sets the paint flake or pearl appart. Are you going to be around thursday? We have the kirkland GTG and dinner. Most of the guys stop by my place to wash their cars and get them ready for the night. If you need a bit more fmj or want to top it with either natty's natty's blue, or 5050 let me know.

Also have you conditioned all your trim for long term storage. you can do that here. If i had known you just wanted help i would have offered mate. anywho let me know.

I actually wanted to get it detailed by you, but I ran into a financial issue... I have seen your work and I really wish I could have had it done by you...

LOL, show up anyway's.. Many of the members are service men. let us throw you a going away party. If you need help putting it in storage this weekend let me know.

IT's seattle it's not rain, it's hygroscopic love.

05Sleeper- Glad to see you got it done, you've had a lot of [stuff] on your plate and I know you were eager to have it all nicely detailed. Also glad to see somebody using SRP, in many ways I like it better than AIO.

Grouse: I think I may just show up. My car may be filthy, but I am sure it will be a good time. Where can I get info on the time/location?

Accumulator: Actually, for me, AIO is my #3 for prep behind SRP and Duragloss 101. I have been quite impressed with the duragloss stuff too. But FMJ... That's the ticket right there... :bounce

PS 05 sleeper it looks like we will have 16 or so at the GTG tomorrow. If you can make it i'm sure nearly everyone will buy you a round or two... or three... actualy i bet the next time you wake up you will see sand.

LOL. That is just about how close I am to leaving too...

I am going to do my best to make it, but work is CRAZY now, as I am sure you can understand...

I will call you later today!

What is FMJ? (I know there is a glossary somewhere around here but I can't find it lol)

The paint looks very deep and wet, I love it! The S4 is a beautiful car to begin with, that 4.2l sure makes some nice power despite the lack of cubes. :) Definitely a sleeper!

FMJ=Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket. Absolutely the easiest sealant there is, aside from the sprays. Very slick too.

Here is a link to the "secret decoder ring".
