Autoglym Products

What is this product line like, ease of use, longevity, etc. Your experiences with it? Thanks.

I have very limited experience with it so far, but have 03B,02B, and 01B in my cabinet.

The detailer I hired to fix some issues with a recent repaint of my black Impala swore by it, and used the 03 and 02 with a wool pad, and 01 by hand. The car came out wonderful, removed 99% of the sanding scratches and lousy finish left by the painter.

Sorry no tips or anything, but I have a very favorable impression of Autoglym based on that experience. I have not yet had a chance to play with it myself to see if I can duplicate his results.

I have used a lot of their products with very good results. I have not tried their abrasive polishes or compounds though. Everything I tried was easy to use and worked well. I still use the extragloss protection, tire dressing, glass cleaner, I also have some super resin polish which is a great pre wax cleaner but haven't used it in a while.

I've used three of their products, and I liked them.

I prefer their Super Resin Polish over KAIO for a lot of jobs, but it doesn't seem to do as much chemical cleaning. Slightly more abrasive but nothing to be concerned about. Lasts longer than KAIO whether topped or not.

I also like their Bumper Care and I use it more than most of my other ERV dressings. It's a pretty thick gel-typeproduct with some very gentle cleaning ability (just a little gritty, but it breaks down right away and won't mar adjacent paint if you accidentally get it on there). Lasts a little longer than thinner/more liquid products IME. Doesn't run in the rain if you remember to buff off any excess.

Their interior vinyl dressing (can't remember the name of it) is nice stuff too, leaves a fairly matte finish with just a mild sheen.

SRP fills really well.

EGP Lasts along time, looks very reflective. Great on wheels, VERY DURABLE!

Bumper Care is very good and very long lasting.

Bodywork Shampoo, so-so. Sheets off amazingly well when your done but isnt that lubie but will clean well.

Glass polish is top-notch.

Tyre Foam is ok.

Tyre dressing in the spray is wet look and messy.

Also AG HDW is good enough....SRP is great especially working by hand, and the sealant is good enough too....I didn't try it yet but a friend told me that their engine cleaner is great....

I have also used the Bumper care, but it is a dust magnet.. Have since then used megs Trim detailer.. a bit better on the dusting part but nothing to write home about.. still searching for a good plastic product- Black wow sucks just as bad.. durability = none

Huh, that's a real example of YMMV...I use it on the runningboards/etc. of the DenaliXL and that makes near-daily trips to very dusty dog parks; I never noticed any real dust attraction issues compared to any other such products.

Cleanest approach is to use something like KSG (which I use on the exterior rubber and plastic of the MPV) or 845, but those don't work on *every* type of exterior rubber/plastic.

Yeah, SRP *does* dust a lot, but I actually *like* the smell of it; reminds me of art class when I was a kid, sorta like oil paints and turpentine.
