Did not know that Detail City was linked to them- I was banned years ago from that forum because I suggested a product that was not supported there. One day I checked my account- info page. My "homesite" had been changed to ...Detail City's Homepage.
A forum member PM'd me about using another product line. I responded via PM.
I was threatened to be kicked off for "spamming" members. I explained, but was treated like a criminal who was trying to lure their customers away- totally false. I then asked to not have my homepage be their homepage and the next day..my account was gone!
I should have asked for some money since if my homepage was Dcity, then it would appear that I was on their payroll.
Very sad and overall disappointed. Here we have the ICA coming up, IDA trying to get members, other detailers working their own networks, and we have this going on within our own industry.
Good thing there are other areas to buy what we need and in the long run, it's our own ethics and standards that we live by and grow with.

I cannot answer for everything that was done at Detail City. I would not have done that so it must have been before I took over.
It's a shame that people are going to develop opinions over what's being said on this thread. This saying comes to mind, "You can't please all the people all of the time." Believe me I've tried and it's no fun.
