Autogeek is crazy

Actually, Phil at Detailers Domain does have a discount code for 10% off. Send him a PM and he will tell you how you can get that code. He also has some amazing sales from time to time.

Right now there's actually a 15% code but its running out pretty soon. I did an order last night and it still worked, you have to order at least $25 worth of stuff though

I like AG and have ordered tons of stuff from them - also, being that they are in Florida and I'm in NC - it's a 3 day turn around for me. A couple of things bothered me about AG, one is that they sometimes leave out that one product that I would like to have but they don't have on their web site: example - Meguiars - missing Solo heavy wool pad, M84, Hyper Dressing and two - the last time I tried to use the discount code, it didn't calculate the dollars right and even though it wasn't much, it till ticked me that it didn't work right.

AG has price matched for me twice, once for the PC Scrub Brushes that another site had cheaper, and for M95 that ADS had cheaper. These were 2 seperate orders. But yes they have price matched for me 2 different websites, I just provide a link to the other site and tell them what it costs and I put it all in the comments section of my order.....

I wanted to purchase my 3.5" BC and 4" LC spot pads and they are charging me $12.95 for shipping. If they sent it usps parcel it would be so much cheaper. Why is AG shipping outragous and thats the only place that sells the pads that I want. I want LC that are 4". Cant do the code for free shipping since not spending enough and 10% helps somewhat. Is there any other place that sells LC 4" and 3.5" BC?

Blownvert,

I'm not sure if it was an error but your order also includes a gallon of meguiars all purpose cleaner plus. If you like we can remove this from your order and ship it in a flat box via usps. Also if there's ever a question or any concerns on an order you can always contact customer service or just like someone suggested used the comments box in the shopping cart and a customer service rep. will call you back.

If you prefer your packaged shipped via a different carrier we can also make the necessary accomodations- usps-fedex-ups please call our customer service dept or you can email Meghan or myself.

All i have to say is AG is great, forget my thread on them being crazy. I guess you really got to ask and they will help you in any way. Jason and I spoke for some time over the phone and service is top notice. Then again I always thought AG was great anyways because they have pretty much everything all at one place. +1 for AG now i just need to get my order to arrive. :woot2:

None of my bidness, but maybe an edit to the thread title is warranted?

No offense intended here, but placing any small order via the internet usually carries with it what may seem to be a high shipping & handling charge. This is true whether you're buying razor blades on eBay or detailing supplies. The easy answer for me...buy more stuff. :lol If I'm in a predicament where I need something small in a hurry, that's not the vendor's fault, it's mine...and I pay accordingly. Otherwise, I try to plan ahead, and I keep a running list of things I want to buy so I can then place an order that makes good economic sense (shipping costs, discounts, etc.).

Kudos on how this was handled by everyone - OP, forum members, and the folks @ AG.

I love their customer service as well.

I once had a degreaser bust during shipping and ruin a large part of my order. UPS had no problem leaving the torn and soaked package on my doorstep but must have advised AG of the mess because a short time later I received a second corrected box.

My comment is that if you do not like something contact the seller first. Posting it here first is not the best way to get customer service.

This thread is part of the reason why I love Autopia. The thread started out with conflict and angst towards Autogeek's "high" shipping rate. Then we had suspense...would the original poster (OP) take his business elsewhere?...would Autogeek offer an alternate means of shipment? Then, like any feel good story, we end with Autogeek and the OP coming to terms, and the OP singing their praises.

Ive had far too many bad experiences with Auto Geek but I gave them a second chance about a year ago and they have been nothing but perfect since then and have delivered amazing customer service and have backed up several products that failed. Obviously the failing had nothing to do with them but Ive had stores in the past, COUGH ADS COUGH, tell me to go to the manufacturer with the issue. Just give em a call, they will do you right.

Longhorn,

I had a product failure (of my own doing) and AG gave a $10 credit towards my next purchase! Now that's customer service!

I have had NOTHING but great experiences with AG, and I will vouch for them personally. I've even spoken with Meghan several times on the phone regarding a couple of issues, and she's a pleasure to work with. I'm in Kentucky, and if I order early enough on say a Monday morning, I'll have my products by no later than Thursday. I'm a huge AG fan.
