Auto Magic Products - Your Thoughts

Automagic does not make bad products, but the only products I use from them at the moment is:



Paint sealant

Hydrowax



Their compounds are IMO not so good (I am comparing to Menzerna and 3M)



If you are looking for good products, I would recommend Mark-V. Their polishes and compounds are very good. I love Mystique and Phase-V. Qwik kut 350 cuts slightly better and finishes of better then Menzerna PG (did a test this week). Sealed with Glisten(sealant) and I got a very crisp finish.



All products where used with rotary, even the sealant.

I am familiar with AM products. I have had to use them at dealerships. I was not happy with the products that I used. Their water-based cleaners (APC's and degreasers) tended to be very aggressive and you had to use them straight or diluted 1:1. Anything more than that and they wouldn't work. Their BC2 was greasy especially in damp weather. Their body shop line (Body Magic) had compounds and glazes. They didn't compare to 3M, Meguiar's etc. in quality To be honest, I haven't used them since they were bought out by ITW. So, they could have updated some of those products.



Overall, I thought their line was mediocre at best. I didn't find anything that I thought was top notch. It seemed like the line was designed for auction work rather than detailing work.

 

[Clean Dean]

Magnificient is a decent non-acid wheel cleaner. Safe for all wheels, but don't expect any miracles. Seems on par with all other non-acid cleaners I have tried.

EZ-Clean HDâ„¢

E-Z Clean-HDâ„¢ (Heavy Duty) is an ultra-concentrate upholstery shampoo specifically

formulated for use on interior fabrics. Works great on cloth and velour as well as carpets and vinyl.

I have a full gallon in my garage...
