Auto Magic Products - Your Thoughts

I am wondering who has used AM products and what your thought on some of the line is.



PLEASE keep in mind I am looking for superior products and am not willing to sacrifice the performace just to save a few bucks.



Here are some of the products I am looking at



Triple Seven APC

Triple Sevenâ„¢ is a concentrated, cost effective, all purpose cleaner formulated to remove the toughest dirt and grime from all areas of the vehicle. Diluted properly, 777 will safely and effortlessly clean all interior vinyl, plastic, fabric and carpet spots, engines, tires, wheels, fender wells, and more. XP Citrus All Purpose Cleaner:

XP Citrus Wheel Cleanerâ„¢ is an extra performance, non-acid cleaner designed specifically for use on chrome and clear-coated alloy wheels. Vinyl/Leather Cleaner:

Vinyl/Leather Cleaner is a mild, pH-balanced cleaner specifically designed for

use on automotive interiors. Quickly removes stubborn stains from all vinyl and

leather surfaces.



MAGnificent®

MAGnificent® is a high suds, non-acid wheel cleaner for use on coated, chrome, painted, wire, plastic and stainless steel wheels. Excellent for use on white walls and raised white lettering.



EZ-Clean HDâ„¢

E-Z Clean-HDâ„¢ (Heavy Duty) is an ultra-concentrate upholstery shampoo specifically

formulated for use on interior fabrics. Works great on cloth and velour as well as carpets and vinyl.



Enzyme Pre-Spot

Enzyme Pre-Spot attaches to protein-based stains and devours them in minutes. Consumes the toughest food, grass, soil, blood, and pet stains. Enzyme Pre-Spot

can be used safely on carpet, fabric, and upholstery. Also effective for eliminating

odor causing bacteria.



Bumper Magic®Bumper Magic® is a ready-to-use, water-based silicone formula for exterior surfaces.

Restores faded body side moldings, vinyl trim, and hard rubber bumpers to a like new appearance.
 
I've used the AutoMagic Bumper Magic. I wouldn't suggest it to any Autopians because it is SUPER greasy however it lasts a pretty long time. Maybe wheel wells, thats it.
 
Are you looking for superior products for your clients or yourself?

I would recommend Valugard by Automotive International.

Zaino would be the other for yourself or your high end clients.

I've used Valugard and it seems to work just as good as any other superior product. I only use the 'other' high priced brands for those who pays for it or on my own vehicle.

Most of Auto Magic's marketing seems to be directed towards the value driven consumer. None of the detailers I know would be caught dead using Auto Magic.

<style type="text/css"> </style> Amen to that, was waiting for someone else to say it. Only thing I ever bought from AutoMagic was some MF towels because they were in the area and I needed some, but I have not called them back since. Fortunately, they delivered the towels in their personal car and not the AM truck.

Are you speaking from personal knowledge or what you have "heard"



I am not considering AM polishes, or waxes or anything like that - I am VERY content with my current products in that area



I am looking for solvents, citrus cleaners, wheel cleaners, carpet shampoo's things of that nature

Why were you waiting for someone else to say it? I asked for your opinion.

<style type="text/css"> </style> Not to put down the company, they do make some great products most notably their Clay Magic. But I will echo the comments from this thread here. I just prefer more quality products that keeps the clients happy. If your running a stealership or auction, then this will be something you might consider.

AGAIN, I ask is this from your personal experience or what you have heard??



As you will notice the thread you linked speaks on staying away from AM polishes and lsp's which I said I would never even dream of using.. I am happy with my boutique products for LSP and polishes...



What I am asking about SPECIFICALLY are the products listed above - I am looking for people that have actually tried it and not just going on what they have heard



To your comment of "keeping the client happy" clean is clean right? As long as the wheels/engines/carpets are clean the product did it's job right? Which was why I was aking if these cleaning products not beauty products such as polishes and wax's sealants are good



Don't be a sheep and follow the pack, don't regurgitate what you have heard.
 
Let's just say I have tried their products once and it was not up to my satisfaction so I moved on to to other products that I felt would work out better for my clients and myself.

I love it when people bash products/companies, and then say that some of their products are great. Why? You're quoting a thread from 2001? I find it hard to believe that customers are that aware of Auto Magic and feel thier products aren't of good quality. Turtle wax maybe, but most customers know as much about Auto Magic as they do Doo Doo Juice (=not much).



Aside from their waxes and polishes (that's another discussion all together), I can assure you that their chemicals are as good (if not better) than any individual and/or line-up of product(s) available by any other detail product/chemical manufacturer. AND their prices so happen to be alot less expensive too. I've used their products on cars ranging from Buicks to Bentleys, Fords to Ferarri's & Mazdas to Mercedes and they work as intended each time. Just because their designed and marketed to clean totally trashed dealer and auction vehicles, doesn't mean they don't have a valid use in an Autopian detailing environment. They clean, shine and protect just like any other product, just for a fraction of the price.

thanks Jim... That's actually the post the sparked my interest in AM products... After posting this thread David answered some of my questions regarding the products I am interested in.



Looks like I will have to take the leap and try some of the cleaning products..



AND BEFORE ANYONE tries to claim that I am using sub par products let me share a little picture with you of my most recent delivery

You tried their whole line up or just 1 product once? Which one(s) did you try, in what application and how did it not satisfy you?

Looks like their might be 2 people that use Auto Magic & Zymol. Maybe the money I saved on chemicals allowed me to spring for the $$ wax. :woot2:



Maybe it's something in the Detroit River drinking water? :D
