Australian Random Buffer Question

Hahahha... Australian toilet's aren't like the US ones, that fill up 1/2 full of water. There is only a small amount in the bottom of the toilet :) so it doesn't spin in the opposite direction....

The Uncle & TOGWT, yes you can be assured that the water does rotate the opposite way down the plughole south of the equator.

I saw one of those GMC polishers in Lowe's today, but for way more than $39. It was marked at $74.95, and for that price I would just buy a PC. Also, the one I saw looked nothing like the SA515 or 516 that you describe. It was similar in looks to the PC. Too bad my local Lowe's doesn't carry those though. Probably want to steer you toward the GMC for some reason.

Tasty, the GMC line of products is really big here and economical too. The big bonus is the 2 year replaceable warranty.

I must admit from your description of the GMC you saw at Lowe's you are not comparing with the same model that we get here in OZ at that price.

what do u guys think of dewault, ryobi and black and decker random orbitals? has anyone got or used andy of these? im wondering why some ppl recommend dewault when their orbit axis is so little compared to the others...

Here I go again, dragging this thread back up :)

I took my Hitachi FS13Y Orbital to the service agent yesterday. It has had a problem since the day I bought it but I have been working away from home so much and been so busy for the last 6 months I didn't have the time or inclination to do anthing about it. Plus I have barely used it.

As I stepped up the speed dial the revs increased (as expected) until I hit #4. The speed drops off significantly at this position. Hit #5 and it screams at high revs (as I would expect).

Hopeful it should be fixed in a week or two and I will get the time to actually use the Orbital.
