Just picked up a 2015 SQ5 in Sepang Blue last night. Now January in Canada is not an ideal time to pick up a new vehicle, but a SQ5 with Quattro certainly beats the BMW M5 I was driving for winter fun!
Had it tinted and put BBS SR 19" wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Winters to get me through till the Spring. As I was switching the summers out for winters, I cleaned up the brake calipers and applied a couple of coats of wax/sealant (1 x Klasse AIO, 1 x Menzerna Powerlock).
I also gave the interior a wipe down, but I'm going to need to do some light paint correction come Spring thanks to the DISO (dealer-installed swirl option). After having countless cars delivered with this "option", I've basically given up being frustrated with dealers and accepted that I'm going to have to do paint correction on the vehicle. Any time its in for service I always tell them not to wash, but there isn't too much that can be done for a new vehicle as someone, somewhere, has inevitably subjected it to a poor washing job and the damage is already done.
Oh well, a few passes with SI1500 should take care of it after the decontamination and prep steps are done...all part of the fun!
