Hey DavidB, the following links are selling your "Autopia Guide To Auto Detailing" :furious:

Here is the 1st link: Autopia Guide To Auto Detailing (Ebay.com)

(The seller deleted the first link I had, she added a new one) (Has multiple listings)

If she delet's this listing as well here is her feedback section, where she can not delete it. The title of her listing is ("How To Start Your Own Auto Detailing Business") Visit her online store to find it.

Here is the 2nd link: Another Crap Head (Ebay.com)

Here is the 3rd link: Another One (Ebay.com)

Questionable: A possible/not sure (not on ebay.com)<---if this original work let me know I'll take it off.

I haven't downloaded the Autopian Guide but are these topics covered in them? If so here are two more:

Boat Detailing (Ebay.com)

(I'm not sure about this one)

Car Detailing (Ebay.com)

(I'm not sure about this one)

(moderators please delete if any of the above information is wrong or falsley accused, or someone else just let me know and I'll delete it).

Thought I would let you know.

OMG...what an idiot/crook

"Attention eBay - This listing complies with all eBay rules and regulations. The item is in the public domain. I am the copyright holder and master reseller of the products that I sell. No trademarks, copyrights or eBay rules have been violated in this listing. This product fully conforms with eBay compilation and international media policy and downloadable media policy."

That's my favorite line - - My advice to David would be to purchase the CD-Rom and file charges against the guy when he recieves the item and search the return address to see who it came from. This guy deserves to be shut down.

All of us here on this forum and in the auto detailing world have at least one thing in common and that is common descenacy. We all know the hard work that goes into what we do and we respect ourselves and each other for that, it's really a family thing. Then when some crap head like this comes along it really ticks me off.

If DavidB authorized it then that is his sole wish and there is nothing wrong with that, but I doubt he did.

I've posted a link to this thread in the moderator forum in hopes DavidB sees it asap. I'll fire off an e-mail to him, too.

Cease and desist, anyone?

I think everyone should hit them, sock them right in the mouth. Report!

Since I have discovered this I'm comming accross some other online stores that are doing the same thing, but I only present information that I know is true, so I have to validate my research but as of right now I think I came accross another one (not on Ebay.com)

You can report listings to Ebay staff as well...Im sure if the things gets enough attention that it'll be shut down pretty quick.

autoprecise1,

I'm sure DB will appreciate any info you can give him on copyright violators. He's had to smack down plagiarists in the past (people lifting stuff from the guide or from his websites, and presenting it as their own), but I don't recall him having to get after eBay idiots.

Thanks for the alert,

Tort

It sucks! I honestly can not remember how many times me or the person that took most of the pictures on my site have had to contact ebay and ebayers about stolen pictures. How hard is it to take your own freaking pic?!

I'm going to update the first post I made with a questionable, I'll let you guys decide on that one. I'm still searching.

Thank GOD, my Detailing DVDs are copyrighted and encoded with secret scrypt to help avoid this type of stuff, a lot of work was put into them for someone just to come and steel them. This is why this type of stuff ticks me off.

So is the Autopia CD. The first 7 chapters were free. Once you paid you would get the remaining chapters. Again, this wouldn't prevent someone from burning multiple copies from a paid version.

Anything that is in download version or in data form is subject to piracy, no doubt. You're right they probably did just that. Purchased the other chapters then made their money back. I have my DVDs on Ebay and I know for a fact that all the above Ebay listings have been on their many of times with multiple listings. Just never paid close attention to them till now.
