"I look like one of those "too cool to be on the forums guys" who has all these inside jokes which makes those on the "outside" feel, well, stupid."
I have to disagree whole heartedly with this. Dave you, along with a couple of other top pro's on this forum, have answered questions and offered advice to me personally via PM's. None of you are obligated to take time out of your busy schedules to do this. I think that alone shows the type of guy you are.
Just keep on posting and doing what you do very well.
Oh yeah, keep up with the humorus posts and don't worry what others may think or say. They make for some fun reading. Plus I'm sure the people in charge will keep "certain people"ut: from ruining this forum.
Best of luck to you,
Mike
In the past month I have been told the following....
1) I didnt know how to correct paint and Bob is my mentor
2) The work Bob and myself did this summer was all smoke and mirrors
3) We got fired from a product company because of our poor work
Welcome to the big leagues!!! You know you have made it when people have to lie to put you down....
Here is some of the things said about me (just this year)....
1)That I cannot buff because I cannot make certain products work
2)That I am 'out to get' people that I make it a point to ignore.
3)That I used fake screen names (not true and never proven) to click my own threads (not true and ZERO evidence) to boost my views (which is a down right fabrication and borders on slander.)
4)That took pictures from 'certain angles' to misrepresent my work (which shows and incredible amount of stupidity on the person who wrote this considering I always snapped as many sun shots, from any angle that I could).
5)That I lied about the quality of the details (again a huge amount of stupidity)
6)That I under paid my 'employee' (who made an average of over $55 per hour despite putting less then 1/2 of the time I put into business and also had ZERO fixed expenses such as insurance or product cost not to mention the 25k in miles I put on my car).
7)That I am a narcissist who only looks out for myself (despite having over 2000 posts dedicated to helping people out, staying up to 3 in the morning helping people write websites, paying for things when they cannot afford to, and countless hours spend helping strangers get better results for their cars).
Seriously getting slammed by somebody is a sign that you have made it, and if they have to lie (not just exaggerate but invent situations and create stories) then you are doing something right. Anybody can lie to put other people down, and generally the people who do that do not require lies to be put down.
