Atlanta, Georgia Detailing Meet Sunday, May 1st

I am penciling this thing in for Sunday, May 1.



Since I am pretty new to the forum, I am looking forward to it, and hope to gets lots and lots of information.
 
I was just informed that Adam's Polishes has backed out of our first meet due to financial and business issues unrelated to our efforts. :(



We are trying to reschedule with another vendor. This is very disappointing but we will find another product sponsor and get back to you with the details.
 
This sounds very interesting. I was hoping Meguiar's would be able to put together one of their Detailing Clinics in Georgia. But they don't seem to have made any progress on it.



Count me in, I plan to attend your 5/1 meet. Future meets sound good too.



I think the overview and speakers for the first meet is a good idea.



What I would really like to see is an Autopian (or good quality professional) detail performed, with discussion on techniques, steps, and products used (not really looking for lessons/school, but more than just stand back and watch quietly), and seeing first hand what can be accomplished by people who know what they are doing.

At this point, I really have no choice as we want a big kick-off and something very worthwhile for our colleagues from Tenn, SC, and NC to feel worth driving to.



I will have a major announcement probably this week. :)
 
The people who are coming in on Saturday ought to try to get together some where close and have some beers, maybe all the Autopia people could get together and hang out, I am sure that Silver Lexusw knows a place???

Just so I understand, the May 1 meet is off at this point, and is slated to be re-scheduled at a later date.

Yes, we are rescheduling the meet. Stay tuned for details.



We are currently working on a new location as well so I wanted to get that tied up before the meet. :)
 
Yes, we have secured a location and Bret, Todd and I are meeting to work on the details this weekend. We are trying to get a major product guy.



Given our need for 30 day notice, we are working on late June for the meeting to occur and it will be at Nalley Lexus on Cobb Parkway.



I'm sorry we pushed it back and thanks for your patience. :)
