First time touching this car. Kinda stole it from another "detailer." Car belongs to a family friend and had it washed and waxed by some guy using old shirts to remove the wax. Given that it was in good shape because he washed it weekly. After talking to them and letting them know that I also detailed they said they would rather give the money to a friend. So they asked me to detail it. I suggested for the first detail a full detail and they said it was okay until i told them it would take about 8+ hours so we decided to settle on a midground. Process was as follows.

Interior

MCME on plastic/vinyl

Woolite Leather

Megs Dash Foam on Dash

Megs Quick Interior Detailer on rest

Autoglym Leather Conditioner

Vacuum

20/20 on windows

Exterior

NXT Wash

Spot Clay behind wheels

SSR2.5 - LC Polishing

VM - LC Polishing

Nattys Paste Wax

20/20 Windows

FX Tire Shine

Mother's Chrome Polish

Meg Natural Shine on exterior plastics

I need a new camera, my sony Cybershot just isnt putting out anymore. The care looks more of Ferrari Red instead of the orange my camera makes it look like. Sorry.

This was the first time id had problems with MQID because ive never used it on a black dash and it seemed to leave little dots so I used Meg Dash Foam instead and it left a much better finish. The matts needed to be extracted but they said it was fine. They also asked me to just throw all the junk in the back, I was going to until I opened it up and saw it was a mess back there. I organized and vacuumed it out which took longer then the interior and put everything in a bag so they could sort through it later. Found several CD and letters they had lost along with some money which they were happy to get back. It needed another step of polishing to ensure swirlfree finish but at the time they didn't want it. After I returned the car they liked it so much that they left their Jaguar for me to do tomorrow and this time they want a full detail for it.

i cry everytime i see one of those.

all that horsepower and ford wouldn't make a manual version.

all automatics.

damn shame.

oh yeah, great job inside and out.

what'd they say after seeing it?

If felt like a lighter version of an v8 LS and it was alot of fun to drive. They didn't say much, only left a Jaguar to get done next after seeing it.

So what you did isn't a full detail? It looks pretyt good to me...all that would eb added is extracting carpets and the engine, right? How long did the work that you did take you and if you don't mind, what did you charge? Great results...I washed and waxed a black one before and it looked awesome....not nearly as good as that though ;).

probally a 2 step polishing to get the deeper swirls out followed by a less aggressive polish to bring the shine back, glaze, sealant then wax. fully clay instead of spot polish, extract carpets, clean and protect door seals, clean rubber seals, clean and dress engine. All that would be added in on a full detail. I picked it up at 9 and dropped it off at 1 with a few water breaks during the process. Charge was $75
