Are you happy with where your current Polisher State is at ....

I`m all set. I`ve bought and sold probably as many machines as I currently own also.
PE-14
Rupes 21 Mark II
G21
Flex 15mm Battery
Mille
flex mini
PC 7424XP
Ibird

I am going to buy the new Rupes rotary. I`ll probably sell the PE-14 as soon as I make sure the Rupes does everything I want it to.

Rupes 15 Mk2
Rupes Mini
BOSS 21
Flex 3401
GG6

Had a Rupes Duetto for a month or 2 and sold it, seemed pointless considering I had mini and 15 and I didn`t like the form factor.

The Rupes Mille is interesting to me at this point but not sure I really need (ok...want) it. It certainly doesn`t make sense but I do like forced rotation to make up for technique deficiencies when I`m trying to get something done quick.

Too much of a sissy to risk a rotary and the price of an iBrid kit makes me pause considering the limited amount of work i do. I`m already at the overkill stage for my situation methinks.

I have a the Maxshine pair M15/M21, Flex XFE 7-12 3", Rupes LK 900E Mille, Flex 3401, Flex PE 14-2, Makita 9227C, Harbor Freight DA.

I bought the Mille on impulse. Nice machine, but I think I prefer the 15mm DA.

Where`s the best place to sell polishers? I`d rather not eat the eBay fees and Craigslist in my area isn`t hot enough.

I`m ready to let go of the 3401, PE 14-2, and the Mille. Way too many polishers and I only polish about 6 cars a year.

Yes.
Also have quite the collection going for a non-professional hobbyist:

Dewalt 849X Rotary (bathroom/shower)

Flex PE-14
Flex 3401
PC7424xp
Flex PE-8
Rupes 21 Mark II
Rupes Mini

Gosh, when I type it all out, feel kinda embarrassed.

I`m just one year in with polishing and mainly the familys cars.

I have a Cocraft 720p 21mm longthrow polisher 240v. It`s a copy of the Rupes 21ES. It works quite good and is much for the bucks. About 80$ it`s well worth it.
I got me a Shinemate EX603 mini polisher which is a copy of the Rupes mini and is great.
I look into getting a Mille and it could be the Rupes 19E rotary polisher instead.

Just a thought. I have heard that Makita 5000 backing plate has the thread 5/16. If that`s so maybe a 3"backing plate could work on that and you have a direct-drivenDA with a smaller backing plate.

My rupes mini and I bird see the most action

I own a
Flex Da now mostly used on glass and headlights or nasty finish to cut quickly
Rupes 21
Rupes 15
Rupes mini
Rupes ibird
GG6
GG3 -biggest joke of a toy. Does nothing productive.
pcxp has brush mounted for carpet scrubbing or interior seat cleaning.
Mikita rotary that I’m afraid of bc of swirls lol

Like I said the rupes mini is my favorite bc I feel the most comfortable with it and it handles curves and fits most places.

Oh yeah...I need to get an ibrid too.

But sheesh I have a lot of polishers for a guy who basically only does spot-correction, and might not do *that* annually...

Yeah, the "how to sell?"... Somebody could probably make use of my PCs and rotaries. No way would I ever participate in Craig`s List, that`s just inviting unknown variables into your life even if you meet at the local LE. Selling a well-used polisher on eBay might be asking for trouble too, I can imagine Buyer`s Remorse occurring and biting the seller.

Not worth it to sell on Ebay. Maybe CL if you find the right bottom-feeder...
Between the commish fees taken on Ebay + the commish fees on Paypal, IMO things are only worth selling if I`m selling something north of $700+
Donate, find a cousin, friend, nephew in need of a new toy

Yeah...the "donate" is the most likely, but for now I`m not *that* desperate for shelf space.

Disposing of a polisher is kinda like getting rid of my unwanted LSPs...whole lotta time/effort to get enough $ to leave as a bfast tip.

2x Rupes 15 Legacy
Rupes 15 MKII
Rupes 21 Legacy
Rupes Mini
Rupes Ibrid (long and short)
Porter Cable

I’m happy with what I own, although I do hear the sirens song on these new battery powered tools that keep popping up. I have other battery powered tools and the weight of the battery and battery life keeps me from buying any kind of battery powered polisher other than the Ibrid.

I too wish I could sell my 2 Rupes 15 Legacies as I don’t see them getting too much use. I agree that eBay takes too much work for too little money. I have thought of giving them away but that poses problems also. Maybe my son will one day inherit them and my passion.

I’m fairly happy with what I have, but I would love to have a Rupes Mini one day. Maybe I’m the odd man out, but my rotary gets used daily on nearly every car I work on, even if it’s just used to scrub carpets. I’ll never go without having one in my arsenal.
Dewalt 849x
Rupes ES21
Griots GG6
Griots GG3 (fixing to be sporting a Buff Daddy 1 inch bP and extension)

Currently I have a gg6 and am looking at getting a g15 and converting my gg6 to a 3inch. I am in agreement with others in hoping griots comes out with a ibrid competitor because it fills a need and gets in places I currently can`t get to with a polisher. An ibrid is out of the question due to it`s price and me being a hobbyist.
