Are these MF towels any good?

Mystic, I have found the original Elites to be about the most dense available. In the picture of the new ones, they look like some other towels I have which are slightly less dense but have a slightly higher nap. Can you comment further on the difference since you have them both?

PS...Series1, sorry about the continued hijack, but I WILL order some Ultras and post my findings!

Setec,

That's a good point. It feels like these new Elites towels are more plush than the old Elite's and have a slightly larger nap but as far as being less dense I am not sure. they dont feel that way but who knows. If you like the previous Elite towels like most of here do and myself included I think you will like these new Elites as much or better. Only time will tell if they hold up as well as my originals have. I hope so!

p.s. sorry too for the continued hijack and hope someone gets some Ultras to review soon.

Ok guys...I got my Elite and Ultra towels today...I guess the secret to the new lower pricing is that they are made in China, rather than Korea, like the previous Elites (never tried the Ultra before). The new Elite is very nice, very thick, plush, and soft. It's 75/25, as opposed to the 80/20 of the old towel. The edging is soft, it's not the shiny silky edging, it's..um..non reflective. I'm just not really a fan of the rounded corners and the thick edging. All in all, this is a really nice towel at $3.49, and wow at 12@$2.49 ea.

The Ultra is 80/20, and a decent towel. I would say it's a little thinner, and a little less nice than the $2.50 class of towel, which makes sense since these go for $1.79 ea. (pack of 5), or 10@$1.50 ea.

Shipping was about $8 on these, so factor that into your analysis.

Since someone is going to ask, I guess I should give an example of a "$2.50 class of towel", which would be the green Plush Microfiber Polishing Towel at WCD, the Ultra Plush at Waxstation, and the Excel Supremes (which you can now get a qty. discount on).
