Are my standards too high?

The 3M RC is doing better then DACP, still some light swirls but I'm jsut gonna have to leave it as I have to finish the car by today.



Is it ok to wash the car after I finish polishing? There is dust everywhere and doesn't seem like I can't wipe all away. Just wonderin if it was safe to wash it before I wax. Thnx.
 
Yep ... I always wash mine after polishing, should not be a problem.



How bad are the swirls still left in the paint? Like Eliot Ness said take your time on it.

I tried following up with DACP on a green, on a blue, and then #9 on a blue. So I figure pretty much whats left can only be fixed by rotary. I'm sure my mom will be very pleased, although of course I know I can do better, but again because of time constraints it is all I can do. Next time I find the time, I'll definately do a much better job. Thnx for all the help!

Did you mom see the car yet? How did she react?
 
Not to pee on your pictures, but the after shots have no sun reflection in them. Hard to compare against the befores. I realize you probably took the afters late in the day.



Otherwise, the car looks good.
 
She hasn't seen it yet, and its definately not as good as it looks. In direct sun light there are some minor swirling, but you cannot see it unless its up close, so from the same distance as I took those pictures you wouldn't be able to see them. Its as perfect as it can get though :/
