AQuartz/CQuartz/OptiSeal - Has you washing routine/regime changed ?

i would rather have the really hard as opposed to the really soft. only real problem with the really hard is it tends to chip more than the soft. i think the soft is more chip restraint because it will dent (absorb) as opposed to chipping.

A observation....on the included sponge app that comes with the Opticoat...

It's not like the regular yellow round app but very similar like the double stitched MF towels.

It's actually 2 sponges seamed on the edge - so the inside kinda *floats*.

Errrr...this is kinda nice and it has the ~give~ due to the sponge app design.

Just Sunday blurbing

My wife's 3rd-gen RX-7 was like that, hard but chip-prone. Never had the problem with Audis though; I simply love the "hard Audi clear" on ours. Well...except when some [dummy] scratches them behind the door handles.

I'm surprised you didn't install clear bra-type door cup protectors. I had to resort to static-cling type on my A4 but I do have the clear-bra material on my Accord's door handle cups.

I'm leery of putting PPF on repainted areas (remember the Deer Incident?). Yeah..it'd probably be OK after all this time and I might ougha rethink it.

Oh yeah, I do recall. :( . BTW, hope all went well the A8 and Accumulatorette is enjoying it once again. I think it wouldn't hurt to try the cup guards. Might be difficult to find, since I never actually found ready made ones for my A4. I had to resort to literally making mine by cut and paste.

Eh, still at Stoddard (well..."Lake County Collision" as they're now known), had to remove/refinish/reinstall the front bumper cover over a few little oversights

Yeah, when I have noting better to do I might get some PPF from somebody here and DIY it. Not a *huge* issue as the only people touching the Audis these days know how to do it (famous last words) and the other vehicles aren't all that critical to me (gee, more Autopian Heresy there, huh?!?).
