Aqua Wax Question

I went out and bought Eagle One Nano Wax Spray to hide some swirls I have until I get a chance to properly get rid of them. What I am wondering is can I now top the Eagle One with Aqua Wax to try and prolong the time until the swirls get noticable again?

Sure, you can use AW on top. It is pretty versatile and not too picky about what it is mixed with. AW doesn't have much swirl hiding capability by itself, but used in conjunction with the E1, it could help...

The easiest way, although not that easy, to hide the swirls would be to use a glaze. Then go over with the AW for shine and protection. You'll need to strip off the stuff you have on there now for the glaze to work properly.

I know this is off subject but I ddn't want to start a thread. How long does one bottle of AW usually last you guys?? Mine only lasted for 2 medium size cars. I think perhaps I am using too much.

you are using way too much!

1-2 sprays per pannel max!

You are using WAY too much product. One spray per panel.....less as you get further into the car cuz your applicator will be soaked with product.

Holy Moly! Yes I agree with the guys above. Ive used my bottle on 3 or 4 cars and its still 90% full.

I can see using more AW if you're using it as a "wax-as-you-dry" product, but still, a half-bottle per car is probably a bit much. I've had better luck with using AW as a sealant or wax booster by applying to a clean dry finish much as you would a QD (only takes a couple of squirts per panel).

Do you guys spray it on and wipe with a MF or do you use an applicator to spread it let it dry then wipe off.

  1. I do the following:
  2. spray the panel 1-2 sprays
  3. use a MF applicator to spread it around
  4. Very lightly wipe with a clean mf to wipe in/off residue

I do not let any time lapse between steps 3 & 4

I use AW just like I would a QD (but only on an otherwise clean car). A spritz or two on the panel, wipe around with one side of MF, flip to dry side to buff clean.

Ditto, that's exactly my method...I always use a dry MF, apply with one side, wipe away with the other. Sometimes I let the AW "disappear" into the paint, almost a ClearSeal type effect (wipe on, walk away). It seems to just fade away, without streaking and looks great! But, it has to go on pretty thin to do this. Other times, I will lightly wipe...

I was following the directions on the bottle. I"ll follow your method for my next bottle. I'm going to grab some 105 too. Should I apply the AW directly after the 105 or give the 105 a day to cure??

I have done my truck and SUV at least 10 times each and I still have half of the bottle left...
